The May Tree in Cornwall

The food was tasty and the staff pretty attentive. But unfortunately it took a long time to arrive and when it did it was only warm. Told us they were a chef down in the kitchen but afraid this visit was very disappointing.

Love it here.. food always good . Staff are very friendly and helpful. Always a smile

Friendly staff. Great service. Amazing meal! Everything presented and cooked to perfection. Extremely impressed!

Came here for a wedding last weekend...Not only is the venue fantasticThe staff are impressive. Im a former publican and the customer service was perfect,Catered for coeliac and gluten free AND even knocked up some cocktails even though they didn't advertise them.So kudos to a wonderful venue.

Just left the maytree, wasn't very happy at all, staff were nice but after we had our starters that didn't come with salsa sauce as stated. I didnt realise until my partner mentioned it. We were served our mains but the table was left with dirty dishes and wasn't cleared as it should have been. Chips were over cooked burger bun was hard and overcooked also, I tried the chicken curry and had to spit it back out as it was unedible it tasted old and gone off. The drink I ordered just tasted of water when it should have been cream soda and vodka, we just left the food on the table and left. Won't be returning

Excellent evening out with the family, lovely friendly staff and excellent service and choice of food and drinks, we booked our table and ordered our meals and drinks, highly recommend a visit here.

Excellent service and good deals to be had on menus, when ordering soft drinks you need to specify what you want as if you ask for a coke they will bring you a pint which actually cost more than a glass of wine. You are able to book a table online which is useful.

Really friendly staff and a good selection of food and drinks although at the time of this visit supply delivery problems caused some basic items to be withdrawn from the menu. But a pat on the back to the Maytree for pre-warning us of this.Excellent deals if you order before 6pm ,Monday to Friday.

Booked a table waitress appeared to ask what drinks we would like. Very prompt. Great service very polite food nice. Staff couldn't do enough to please excellent

Visited last night, good welcome and seated immediately, quite a few items missing from the menu due to delivery issues but we were made aware of this straight away, waitress was good, very keen to serve and cheerful, only negative is I ordered a classic burger meal but the bun was toasted not normally a problem but it was over cooked and crunchy, who eats a crunchy burger bun 🤷‍♂️
