The New Hong Kong in Cornwall

Very busy restaurant and takeaway..for good reasons. The two young lads doing the takeaway orders are excellent. Really friendly and very professional.

Friday night after a lovely day at the beach, fancied a Chinese so picked here. I’m glad I did I was greeted by 2 friendly waitresses who showed me to my table, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy but a steady flow of customers. The food was buffet style but they also do take away. It was cooked fresh and was hot and of good quality I would definitely recommend in Penzance town centre

It's got a good variety of dishes. However, like any other Chinese takeaways and restaurants in Cornwall and UK, it's been westernised to the local taste.

Found the food to be great here last night, hot and tasty and always being replenished when it was needed at the buffet, the lady at the front of the house was very attentive and friendly, I’m sorry I forgot your name Miss, plenty of people there eating which is always a good sign in any food establishment & we’ll definitely be returning, 小姐謝謝你很好吃我很快樂. Oh and the price for the three of us with drinks was also very reasonable.

Fantastic value all you can eat buffet, great selection of dishes to choose from, all dishes were kept topped up, we were a group of 20, food was all hot and of good quality, will definitely be going here again.

Located up a flight of stairs, didn't see any lift and ladies loo is down some steps so not accessible. Food was good and drinks not over priced. Plenty to choose from and good selection of fruit, cakes and ice-cream to top it off

The New Hong Kong is absolutely delicious, the food is always fresh and it's an extremely popular restaurant in Penzance. I've eaten at this place countless times and in my opinion, it's one of the best Chinese restaurants I've eaten at, not only for taste/freshness and quality but also value for money. I know we're in a pandemic at the moment and not sure if the buffet will ever reopen but if it does, I'd highly recommend. Although there's not tonnes of choice due to it being a small restaurant, they make up for this, again with the quality, taste, value etc. Anyway, if you're in Penzance and fancy a takeaway, you wont be disappointed in ordering from this lovely little gem! Oh, mine's a won ton soup, quick fried shredded chicken (delicious) and a Canton special fried rice, thanks for asking lol.
