The New Inn in Cornwall

Had a lovely Sunday lunch and will go back. They are a dog friendly venue and very helpful. The staff are very polite and only too willing to help. Our 2 newfoundland dogs settled into one of the rooms bar rooms . I look forward to going back. Went back on Tuesday. Just 2 days later and the change of staff on the bar was incredible. Brought our dogs in again only to be told they could only have a drink outside as it might cause work for him. However the food was and servers were upto the previous standard. Fantastic flavour in the steak . The stew was tender and tasty. The others in the party had a fish pie that was excellent. The sausages were very good as well

Came here for a new years work do.Place was clean and tidy including the toilets.Bar staff were very nice, played good music and catered for the evening. Food was sweet and simple.Small paved outside smoking area with one heater does the job.Good atmosphere, welcoming and cosy without being cramped.

Good service, friendly staff and suitable prices. Very much enjoyed the food and overall appearance of the place as is very scenic with lots of character.

My wife and I tried the three course xmas menu here yesterday, absolutely fantastic! The staff and service was excellent, the food was the best we’ve had in a long time. We’ve eaten in a good few top restaurants around the country over the years - this is right up there with them in terms of taste, quality and menu. There’s enough on the platter to feed a third person and the desserts are to die for. A most memorable meal.

Used to be a great village pub! However the pub has new ownership. First visit this week was very quiet but the bar staff were friendly. Tonight the barman stood and ignored us and a group of women sat close to the bar shouted abuse at us. Don't think we'll be going back, what a shame!!!

This is an absolute gem of a pub. The food and service was top notch.I ordered the pork belly which was sensational and my husband had the steak which was cooked to his liking and had onion rings that were to DIE for.I was pleased to see that the children's menu was not the usual beige fare rather child sized portions of the adult menu which my son loved because it made him feel like a grown up.We will certainly be back because I need to try the desserts.Well worth a trip but please book in advance because Monday was busy (another sure sign of an amazing venue)

Excellent food, and customer service. we booked quite late in the evening and they managed to find a table for 8 of us. The menu was amazing there were so many different options which all sounded great, I went for the belly pork which was amazing, and had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was equally as tastey.My husband had the beef for starter which was delicious, he also tried the cheese board which had a good variety of cheeses and thoroughly enjoyed that also.The waitresses were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and chefs did a really good job with cooking and serving the food, I highly recommend eating here

Lovely friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed a huge portion of river mussels! Not sure why they’re served with chips, although they were lovely. Bread would have been better to soak up the creamy garlic sauce. Gets rather busy so book ahead if possible. Quick service, food was lovely and hot. Will be back for the belly pork on our next visit

What a fabulous welcome and lovely meal we had here. So good, especially after the dreadful reception we got at The Royal Inn.. which was basically "you're not from round here, we're fully booked", when they were clearly not. Oh well, their loss and our gain, as the staff at the The New Inn were incredibly friendly, helpful, fun and a credit to Cornwall. Food was amazing and good value too. Definitely one to visit again.

Had a beautiful meal this evening fish bouillabaisse, tuna steak superb highly recommended. Great service & atmosphere.
