The Old Inn in Cornwall

Loved the food here. We had 2 takeaway roasts and they we're out of this world. So tasty the portions were huge it lasted for 2 days. Best meal for a very long time. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Only had drinks this afternoon but the beer & wine we had were lovely, worth finding. Menu looks great with good prices. Great staff.

Food was ok.. veg was undercooked, yorkies were overcooked.. tables were spaced a foot apart, Way too many people wedged in especially with covid on the rise again.However, Staff were very lovely though.. and I was pleased to over hear the staff allowing a customers emotional support dog to stay with her.

We visited to celebrate my birthday and both chose the rib eye steak. It was superb and accompanied by such huge portions of mushrooms, onion rings, and chips that we hardly noticed that the tomatoes on both our meals were missing.

Despite other negative reviews we found all the staff to be lovely and friendly. We paid up front and I didn't mind that at all. There are several exits so anyone could walk in, eat, drink and walk out without paying so I don't blame them for wanting payment at point of sale. The food was absolutely gorgeous and we would definitely come back again

Had a Sunday carvery and the food is amazingThey don't hold back on the meat ...someone had the nut roast and that too looked amazingWe had our food in the bar. Think that is a better bet as the restaurant side was very busyVery Covid safe ,lots of hand gel stations ,gloves for you when dishing up your veg at the carvery..all staff members wearing a maskOh and the fish n chips looked massive will be back to try

Lovely atmosphere, good choice of drinks and amazing food. The portions are very generous at very reasonable prices. The glass in the pictures is a pint glass which will give you a good idea of the portion sizes! It's a lovely place. Highly recommended

Over priced and under-friendly..! Waited over an hour for food, (even though we had booked)! Our meals eventually arrived, one of which wasn't what was ordered, manager/owner wasn't the nicest of people you could meet! (I'm holding back on this, in the interest of decency...) won't be returning

Very very impressed with how nice the food is, portions very big, cooked to perfection and of very high quality, and home cut chips cooked in beef dripping were delicious, not many places would cook chips like that! All of the staff very friendly and waitress put rest of my husband's mixed grill in a tub to take home as he was defeated at the portion size and was to nice to throw in the bin! Can't wait to come back to this beautiful pub with the best food, staff and atmosphere!

We went here several times as the food is excellent. They do a carvery on Sundays which was fabulous. They have a huge variety on the menu and the staff and atmosphere is really good. Very impressed as it's in a rural village setting. Would recommend to our own guests if they were a lot closer.
