Lovely setting, friendly staff and good service but... very disappointing food. The ploughman's salad wasnt much more than some dry bread and a bowl of pickled onions. For £17.50 I was expecting a lot better. It was an extra £2.50 for the ham and only one slice!!! Over priced and underwhelming.

Lovely pub bit difficult to get to and park.Great meal and excellent service but choice of starters was limited.

·

Not our first visit, but it's been two years since we last had a meal here. The food is consistently good. Staff are friendly, great atmosphere.

As a local living nearby I Love the pub, great setting, staff do a really good job but 5.85 for a medium size house wine has put a stop to my regular visits. I even queried this 25th May and it was confirmed. There is no way this a justifiable price for a few sips of wine.

It's a perfect stop for food and a pub lunch after a cycle from the coast to coast trail all the way from Portreath. Especially as just a few minutes walk away is the lovely estuary of the times gone by

Great!! Lovely place to visit. The lunch was fantastic, I look forward to going back to having lunch in their beautiful gardens.

Recommended by a local, and they know best; as was the case in this time. I leant on the recommendation of the team and had an amazing Salmon washed down with a lovely pint of Lushingtons and then mulled wine pears to finish. Fancy a treat at a reasonable price then you found it. To note the Burgers and the Curry looked equally good.
