Easy booking system on line. Food good value, staff very helpful and friendly. Ate here twice recently. Fantastic fish curry. Good carvery on a Sunday and good vegetarian/vegan options. Beer was very good, best pint of Proper Job anywhere.

Excellent pub grub; we returned for Sunday Carvery and were not disappointed. Service could not have been more helpful. Gluten and dairy free options were clearly explained and adjustments made to the published menus. It's a shame we don't live closer!

Lovely food and great traditional style pub. You won’t be disappointed with quality or quantity, portion sizes are very generous and the chips are particularly delicious! Homemade, not frozen rubbish! I would recommend and will definitely return. Many thanks to the team.

Went to the Old Inn & Restaurant on our last night visiting Cornwall, We where able to book a table with no issue at all with accommodations made for children with no extra fuss. The staff where attentive and polite, always giving service with a smile. With a relatively short wait for food and portion sizes that would put an all you can eat buffet to shame this is a lovely place to stop in for some food - ordering a Beef Steak, Gammon Steak and a Mixed Grill all of the food was good quality, with the only issues being a slightly drier than expected pork chop and unexpected chip shop style chips. With a wide range of draught ciders and beers, and rotating weekly ales there's a little bit of something for everyone. The end of the night was closed off with a lovely goodbye from both staff and some of the local customers.

Loved the food here. We had 2 takeaway roasts and they we're out of this world. So tasty the portions were huge it lasted for 2 days. Best meal for a very long time. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Lovely atmosphere, good choice of drinks and amazing food. The portions are very generous at very reasonable prices. The glass in the pictures is a pint glass which will give you a good idea of the portion sizes! It's a lovely place. Highly recommended

Despite other negative reviews we found all the staff to be lovely and friendly. We paid up front and I didn't mind that at all. There are several exits so anyone could walk in, eat, drink and walk out without paying so I don't blame them for wanting payment at point of sale. The food was absolutely gorgeous and we would definitely come back again

Very very impressed with how nice the food is, portions very big, cooked to perfection and of very high quality, and home cut chips cooked in beef dripping were delicious, not many places would cook chips like that! All of the staff very friendly and waitress put rest of my husband's mixed grill in a tub to take home as he was defeated at the portion size and was to nice to throw in the bin! Can't wait to come back to this beautiful pub with the best food, staff and atmosphere!
