The Pirate Inn in Cornwall

Friendly and welcoming. Good drinks. Nice outdoor area. The roast smelt lovely but we were understandably too late to get a food table.

Excellent venue for food, drinks, overnight stay and meeting friends. Very tempted to go next time with friends in our alter Pirate identities. As manager said when I rang we also invite civilians (land lubbers) to our hostelry.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had the nut roast for sunday lunch and it was absolutely beautiful. My husband was really pleased with his beef too. Good food at an affordable price.

Had a meal here yesterday on the way home from Lands end. Husband had the steak and I had tapas. Both enjoyed our meal very much. Steak cooked perfectly, my tapas, were lovely and very filling.plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly. Waited about 35 minutes for our meal, which is fine as it shows everything is cooked fresh and it certainly tasted it. Will definitely be going again

We stayed a couple of nights doing a coast walk. Great pub, friendly staff, pub grub, lovely family beer garden. About 15 min walk from the centre of town so it's a bit more relaxed. The train room we had was very reasonably priced, clean, tidy and with tea and coffee facilities / biscuits, shower and tv. Perfect for what we needed with no hassles.

The most amazing tapas food. Home cooked food including pies by a very talented chef. Absolute treat! Gluten Free too.. Super friendly landlady and staff, we had a perfectly lovely evening group of 5, no waiting for tables and no need to book. Decided to go just outside penzance, newlyn and mousehole which was all fully booked days in advance and so glad we did!

We had a lovely meal at the Pirate. The desserts which were home made were really good to. Chocolate brownies and banana long boat were delicious according to my husband and grandson 😋

Food portions nicely cooked but so small. Really limited lunchtime menu. Staff could be more welcoming. But fantastic beer garden.

We visited on our way back from Lands End and we were looking for a pub that was dog friendly and served Sunday lunch. The only choice on a Sunday is a roast or a vegetarian option - although this won't please some people who want a big menu to choose from, it does mean the food you get is of a much higher quality. The beef just fell apart and the chicken was eaten with no complaints from our children who are fussy with badly cooked meat. The vegetables are served separately but you are given more than enough for the number of people.

Nice beer garden to chill in and great entertainment courtesy of "Bandekoot". Food is basic but very tasty and the toilets were lovely and clean. Service was a bit slow, due to lack of staff. Would definitely recommend it for a night out.
