Called to try and book the restaurant ( evening) as was told by two front of house staff that they were not open to Non Residents even though the hotel board clearly says it is....very odd and such a shame it isn't cheap!

The food is on the pricey side but is good quality with local produce and we don't mind paying a bit extra for good service. However the bill payment took about 15 minutes to make after the bill came to us. The person with me loved his local ham sandwich and local tea. My local crab sandwich was unfortunately overpowered by the dill so I couldn't finish it. Excellent veggie crisps and salad with both sandwiches. A nice view over the sea, but it didn't seem a very relaxed atmosphere.

We booked this place for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. The online booking system was very easy. I requested if they could do something special as it was my husbands birthday and they made our entire evening so special. The manager (a lovely lady) came and wished him and made sure we were comfortable. We were served complimentary starters by the chef. They also brought a piece of cake with a sparkler to mark the celebration. Food was fabulous. One of the best fine dining places i have visited. Portions were just perfect and presentation was beautiful. Truly a 2 rosette restaurant and deserves a Michelin star as the food and service was like one.

This hotel/restaurant has a fantastic location on a Cornish cliff it presents itself very well with the front of house staff. However the restaurant food is very expensive and the menu is stuck in the past, the chef needs to be propelled into the present and present quality food worthy of the price, surprised that the management allows this to happen.

We dined here in a group of four for lunch on a bank holiday Monday. The staff were very accommodating on a busy service, despite us not having a booking. I enjoyed the old school (in a good way) nautical themed surroundings. The quality of all of the dishes that we ordered was excellent and the service too. One of the finest dining experiences I have had in a long while and at a very reasonable price.
