The Rising Sun Inn Pub in Cornwall

The pub served better food than some restaurants, also the staff was very friendly. Don‘t tell anyone how beautiful St. Mawes is, it has enough tourists already.

Great location, good layout and facilities and friendly, welcoming staff. We did Sunday lunch twice (booking in advance recommended) and dropped in for drinks during our stay. Thoroughly recommend giving it a try.

My wife and I stopped for lunch. Lovely situation overlooking the harbour. The comfortable beer garden enjoyed panoramic views. Food was excellent and staff were very attentive. Looks like it would be a great place to stay. James the relief manager showed us a standard room. It looked exceptionally comfortable and crisp and spotlessly clean. If this is the standard before the complete refit at the end of the year something very special must be on the horizon.

Stopped at The Rising Sun for a warm drink on a rainy May day, and was amazed to find they serve gluten free vegan options, we had the banana blossom 'vish n chips' and it was awesome!It's a shame not many places do gfv options but really happy they did here and it was v tasty, recommended!

Lovely pub, food was fantastic. Really nice beer and the staff are lovely. You couldn't ask for anything more! I had the mini fish and chips for £9 really good portion size and all homemade even the mushy peas

We had a wonderful table with a perfect view across St Mawes harbour. The food and service was excellent. The food was so full of flavour, absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend.

Came for lunch and found a pleasant pub with splendid ocean views and friendly service. The fish and chips was tasty but the “scampi” was out of the freezer and disappointing

Considering the place was very busy the service we received today was brilliant and we didn't have to wait long either. The two young lads were rushed off their feet but found time to be very charming and helpful. Good choice of food. The roast lamb was certainly the best I have ever tasted. It was so tender and the gravy was amazing. Would love the recipe for this please?😉

A large group of us had a wonderful lunch at The Rising Sun. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful, hot and arrived very quickly. Very enjoyable lunch.

Always great meals, maybe bit too big but all served fresh. Great menu and lovely place to stay.
