Recommended by the hotel to dine here and what a fantastic recommendation it was!Friendly staff, good selection of drinks. Starter and main both piping hot and absolutely delicious.Shame we are only passing through but if in the area again would certainly come back! Would certainly recommend for some good pub food! 👍🏼👍🏼

Found myself, alone on Valentines night, unexpectedly having to find a pub to have a meal in while I was away on business. The Ship was great, the staff were so friendly & accommodating, the food was lovely & I was made to feel really comfortable. This sad loner felt loved on Valentines after all ❤😂😂😂

We came here to enjoy a drink with the family. After a few hours the manager turned up and was extremely rude to us and our children telling them to keep it down, and keep to one table (bare in mind there was no other customers at this point) after one of the waitresses said this was okay.We thought this was very rude considering the rest of the staff were very polite and considerate. We will never be going to this establishment again. Very unprofessional....

We were in the area for the weekend and drove into Wadebridge for a bite to eat. Everywhere was packed so we decided to leave Wadebridge and find somewhere less busy out of the area. We passed the Ship and decided to give it a try. The lady sadly said they too were fully booked. So we went to leave and a lady tapped on our car window and said they had a look and could squeeze us in by shifting some tables around. So us as a family of 3 were taken up to a large conservatory dining area and shown to our table. We didn’t really look at the menu when the waitress mentioned a steak deal. And the sirloin was delicious. Served with fries etc.The main part of the pub was lovely with low ceilings. Nice atmosphere and live music that was entertaining but not overbearing. Fully recommended.Nice beer too.Big thanks for going out of your way to accommodate and feed three hungry people.

Staff were very warm and welcoming. The food unfortunately, was shocking! No way was the steak and ale pie homemade .. it was full of gristle and the cheese and mac bake, tasted like it was from a tin. Definitely not good value for money! How pubs get away with this, is beyond me.Lesson learned.

Absolutely delicious food and drink with a welcoming friendly fast service. Limited parking but worth a walk.Fish and chips were delicious and the waitress asked if anyone has allergies to any foods before you order.Tidy menu including a good kids menu.Dog friendly with water bowls.Disabled access to lower and upper bar but steps in between.

An enjoyable experience. Polite staff, and good food.Managed to find me a table last minute without booking ahead. Plenty of tables and well spaced out. They even plan to give as much space between tables as possible for Covid. The food was well cooked, locally sourced or homemade. The burger was from a local butchers and very tasty. They even do 2 or 3 course special prices too for an extra saving. Will revisit again when back in the area.
