The Ship Inn in Cornwall

First day in Cornwall dropped in here for a pint, lovely staff and had a great out door seating area which had different levels to it. Lovely view from the top would highly recommend.

Fantastic. So dog friendly. Staff very nice and professional. Food was great. Also reasonably priced. Nothing too much trouble and bonny loved the biscuits. Had a wonderful week and the weather was great. You can imagine the people that have gone on in past times. You can feel the history of the place. Can't rate it high enough. Well done to everyone. By far the most popular pub in Porthleven (in my opinion), which also means it's the busiest with a mix of tourists and locals.It's a properly cosy pub that you could imagine pirates, smugglers, fisherman etc using in the past, if the walls could talk they'd be some.... interesting, stories I'm sure.Nowadays it has a superb choice of cask and keg beer including Patchwork Rocket by Firebrand (cask) and the excellent Lightbulb by Verdant (keg) alongside lagers, a large selection of spirits and soft drinks.Food is excellent, fresh and worth the wait... talking of which, waiting times have increased everywhere and hospitality staff are under enormous amounts of pressure so be nice, be patient and enjoy the view with a beer while you wait, the staff are doing their best and aren't robots so manners and understanding will go a long way.No food on Friday and Saturday...so bring your own from one of the many places in the town.Best seat in the house? Right at the very top of the outside area, awesome views and an absolute sun trap.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere and friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful to sit outside overlooking the harbour in the sunshine or inside by the fire on a cold stormy day. The mussels and fish finger sandwich were perfect! Thanks so much.

Visited on Wednesday eve, everywhere was fully booked as you can’t just walk in.Rolled up to the bar places food order and drinks sat outside to watch the beautiful sunsetFew others had fish and chips I had the pan fried sole soaked in butter with roast potatoes and fried off beans.It was delicious, casual setting and friendly staff.Worth a visit

Lovely pub. Sat there enjoying the sunshine on our recent holiday at the end of August. Friendly barstaff and great food. Over looks the harbour , watching the kids jumping in to the sea from the harbour wall 👌 Loved it 😀

My new favourite pub! It's an old style pub with a youthful vibe. The pub has great views over the harbour and has a number of other indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff at super friendly, even in these times of staff shortages, there is a good menu, with local produce, and a good selection of beers on tap. We had a light lunch, which was really reasonably priced and was great quality. I could see us having a cosy winter evening here, or a glorious pint on a sunny day, well worth the trip down the harbour!

Possibly the best pub on the entire south west coastal path! There's a great vibe inside and a relaxing beer garden with views of the port. A wide selection of beers on tap at cheap prices and the food is tasty - we recommend the fish finger sandwiches!

Great traditional little pub with a no frills attitude. Fab atmosphere and lovely food. The veiw of the harbour from here is ideal for people watching and for keeping the chill off your bones at the end of a spectacular days surfing.

A cosy pub full of memories and amazing view of the harbour. The staff is very friendly. The food was tasty, with a selection of fresh fish. Not a big fun of fish and chips but the one I tried here would highly recommend! Also don’t forget to try cider and ale that was good. Great vibes.
