The Sloop Inn in Cornwall

We needed somewhere dog friendly so we decided on a pub-type place to fit the bill. The Sloop is really old with the requisite uneven floors and low ceiling, but it was bustling with a nice atmosphere and friendly and fast service. The menu leans heavily towards seafood as can be expected, but there are steaks, burgers and the odd special to cater to us land-lubbers who aren't so keen on fish. We both chose the 8 oz fillet steak, and we were not disappointed. They were cooked beautifully and we both cleared our plates.

Good pub on sea front. Nice atmosphere. Had a guy singing some classic songs. Pleasant evening out.

Love popping down to the sloop. Drinks are good and foods really lovely. Liz is an asset to the sloop,shes funny professional and knows what we want!!

We stayed in The Lookout for a week for my Birthday from 5 March. The room has the most amazing view over the bay & was everything we could hope for. The Sloop is an amazing place. The staff are fantastic. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times which was amazing. To top the week off there was a fantastic music night - all the locals were great fun. Can't wait to return. Amazing memories.

The only place to be on a Friday night! Cosy, local pub vibes. Live music and an absolutely class atmosphere! Started off with a lush steak, chips and a free bottle of wine. Followed by live music from Graham from 9pm until 11pm - he was brilliant! Everyone was singing and dancing, banging on the tables. Annie is a great host. Friendly, welcoming and inclusive. The staff walk round with free snacks later on in the evening as well! They also have a raffle a friday night as well which is fun. Dog friendly. Win win. We will be back!

Great location. Sat outside which was nice but would have been nice to have had paper towels or something to dry the seats. Wasn't keen on draught lager but that's personal preference!

I’m local to Cornwall, went into the Sloop for a quick drink, got charge £14.50 for 2 coffees 2 orange and lemonades. When I asked for the receipt they charge me £5.50 for the two coffees, £5.50 for the two baby oranges and a dash of lemonade was £1.50 each. Absolute rip off and a joke . Never again will I return

Lovely warm pub to cosy into on a cold October day. Friendly bar staff and interesting historic decor. Drink prices are a little expensive but normal for tourist rates..

Fantastic atmosphere - just like you're sitting below decks on an old ship! Friendly bar staff and good range of drinks. Dog friendly. Interior is very cosy.
