Traditional country pub with an emphasis on dining, pretty gardens, great service and dog friendly. We loved the vegan options.

Gritty mussels unbearable to eat without hurting my teeth. Waitress was quite insulting by saying it was the sugar in the sauce or that they cant tell that they are gritty. They were not prepared currently. Didn’t bother to apologise. She just said I’d tell the chef. Happy to charge me for an awful meal. Maybe this was a one off but I wouldn’t go back after this experience.Go to the Mariner restaurant in Rock as it’s the same price and million times better.

Genuinely one of the nicest pubs I’ve ever been and probably the best roast I’ve ever had. I could go on with superlatives and hyperbole but the simple 5 stars is all that is needed. I won’t describe it and ruin the surprise. Visit and you will not be disappointed.

Very accomodating pub. We arrived late on Sunday and they were packed but the staff made time for us and seated us to eat after we waited having a drink. Food was outstanding but limited for vegetarians.

Gorgeous country pub serving excellent food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Would love to visit again in summer to sit in the garden.

Outstanding. Such a fabulous menu and the food is absolutely fantastic. Service and the team are great too. I can't recommend it highly enough.

First time we visited this beautiful pub and cannot wait to go back! Wanted somewhere different to take visiting friends and St Kew was fabulous. Excellent service and superb food. Had a lovely time. Thank you!

Fabulous country pub tucked away off the A39. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, good selection of drinks, cosy and comfortable surroundings and above all else, truly delicious food. Was the perfect way to end our week in Cornwall. Keep up the excellent work!

Lovely meal in a room with a real fire-just the thing for late October. Fish batter was crisp and able to switch to fries from chips with no issue. Vegetables are extra for many dishes which can make it pricey but a lovely treat especially for the person not driving to sample the real ale. Approach the village avoiding the ford if you can!

This is a fabulous pub and one of our 'go to' places for that special lunch or dinner. The pub is full of character and is in a beautiful setting. The only down side is that it is so busy a booking, often over a week ahead, is usually required for inside seating. Tables in the beer garden are of course weather dependant and are readily snapped up in fine weather.I have had the whole John Dory which was excellent and the wife says that the fish and chips are the best we have had in Cornwall. The Sunday roasts are currently suspended but looking forward to their return in November.
