Who does bad fish n chips these days? This plaice does. Find the fish in the photo? I couldn’t either. That’s a large portion too. The order was wrong- under delivered on the onions- 5 tiny nuggets in the kids meal. Then to cap it all I tried to call them so they could put it right before I did this review and the call sent me to Facebook and cut me off. Terrible!!

Fish and chips were good. The fish portion was particularly thick. Unfortunately they forgot the jumbo sausage and ketchup I ordered. Didn't realise until we had driven away. Never had to double check an order before.

Incredibly slow, rude service and very disappointing food. Waited 20mins for my food, over 30mins in total inc queuing to order time. When my order number was called the women serving shouted "a thank you would be nice" at me. She hadn't even passed me my food at this point, I was going to say thank you, but she didn't give me a chance and I recieved no apology for the delay at any stage. Everyone else in front and behind me in the queue had been and gone and the wait time on the board displayed 8mins. When I explained that I'd been waiting over 20mins and had 2 young children crying in the car, she just rudely said, it takes time to cook! Had the food been nice, I may have not bothered to leave a review, but the chips were raw, the portions were small (and expensive), and the chicken was incredibly dry and inedible. Would definitely not recommend at all. The Mermaid fish and chip shop round the corner, which is highly recommended was our 1st choice but only taking cash and we didn't have any - will 100% go here instead in the future.

Oh my daysOrdered the reg cod and large chips on Wednesday and a few other things but my goodness it was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.Portion size was perfect and the batter was nice and golden on the fish which was cooked to perfection. Not sure if you’ve changed staff because I’ve never had it that good but same again please.

I ordered a large chips and a regular fish and this was what I received. Best part of £9 for a very small portion of food. This used to be a very good takeaway....

After good recommendations from family went to get fish and chips. Was very disappointed as the fish was over cooked, chewy and difficult to eat. Shop was clean and staff were pleasant. Chips were ok . Won't be going back.

My food was fine, chicken nuggets and chips. But my boyfriends cod was very disappointing. There was more batter than fish. It was very busy when we got there but still would have expected better quality. The food was piping hot though, and the drinks chilled!

Really nice gluten free fish and great they do it in a kids meal! Chips were a bit undercooked though and some were quite stiff and potatoy still. In the normal battered cod, 1 we had was fine but the other had loads of bones in it. Found difficult to eat as was picking it apart with fingers to make sure no bones were eaten. So overall, great if you need gluten free or a children's option, but not the best.
