The Thomas Daniell in Cornwall

Went here for a roast on Sunday. 3 adult roasts and 3 drinks.£83. .....None of us ate probably not even ¼ of it. Looked and tasted burnt and what wasn't, was overcooked. Meat was very dry. Complained to the man behind the bar at the time. Got an, oh. sorry. That was it. Will not be going back here.

The food quality was disappointing and so was the customer service, it's not cheap either. Maybe the definition of good is different in Cornwall....we ordered many dishes so we could try some of which were the expensive steak with "grilled cabbage" or the catch/fish of the day with sautéed (deep fried) new potatoes and supposedly confit leeks but they were deep fried also which were like rubber... I will stop here. you pay a lot for what you get.

Lovely meal and good service. I had Monkfish which was great. My wife had Crab mac and cheese and did struggle a bit to find the Crab.

Fantastic pub offering a great selection of beers and lagers at reasonable prices. Really nice decor and superb staff create overall a really enjoyable atmosphere.

What a cool cool pub a very varied menu very tastefully decorated lovely atmosphere staff very helpful and polite and friendly food is absolutely delicious a very cosy pub which I will be visiting again very soon I hope cheers Vince👍👍

Staff are super friendly and lovely, food is beyond amazing, not another pub quite like it in Truro. My partner also forgot her bag at the pub and the staff were quick to keep it safe and hold onto it till we arrived to collect it later. The only reason i'm giving you guys 5 stars is because I can't give you 15!

Both the starters and our roasts were very delicious! Glad we were able to visit here with family on a very rare Sunday off work. Would only say the waiting times for food was a little lengthy, but good company and cocktails helped with that ☺️

We had a lovely roast dinner on a visit whilst stopping through Truro. Sadly couldn’t fit in any desert as we were so full and would recommend to anyone in the area.

Fantastic decor and atmosphere created by the kind and friendly staff. Lovely menu with clear labelling to highlight vegetarian and vegan options as well as glutton free options. We had a roast which was classily presented and tasted fantastic.

Fast service, tasty food. However, they did mess up one of my order, bringing out a different dish. That's why I'm dinging them a star.
