As a local resident I've had many recommendations to eat here. Finally made it and was not disappointed. We were there on a quite night so no problems getting a table. Food exceeded expectations, we had burgers which were very well presented and very big. Served with proper chips and a good salad, which is always a bonus. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to others

Went in for a quick drink after lunch and saw the other tables food. It looked amazing so we came back a few days later to eat. Absolutely fantastic, fish pie huge, fish cake incredible. Portion sizes generous. Staff really friendly. You can't book, just turn up and they will try to accommodate you.

Can honestly say I had the best Cod and chips I've ever tasted, the fish was was out of the water fresh and white, the cider batter was light and crispy and chips were superb, all washed down with a pint of Atlantic, the staff were friendly and attentive, you won't be disappointed 👌

We were visiting polperro for 3 nights in January and we stumbled upon this absolute gem of a pub. With an open fire and charming beams we had to go in for a drink and some food. We ended up eating here for 2 nights out of the 3 the fish and chips was not only a very generous portion but the fish was so fresh it literally melted in your mouth. The steak and ale cheesy cobbler was absolutely delicious winter warming and again was a massive portion. My husband had the BBQ Texas burger and again he really enjoyed it. Dogs are allowed in the pub and it was a really nice atmosphere with very friendly and welcoming staff. Regulars in the pub mixed with visitors and dogs made it a lovely memorable visit and would highly recommend. I imagine in busier months this place will be very busy.

We had really nice meals here, the portions are large, the staff are very friendly and the place itself is so cosy and picturesque. Dog friendly too!

We came for a late dinner, sadly there was no room in the pub for us. We were offered takeaway option in the garden. The top level of the garden had great view. Food was served very quickly and everything was fresh and delicious.

Went with family, had to wait an hour or so for a table, but expected. Very accommodating of dogs and disabled which was fantastic... Waiter was great, think he was from Manchester, we all ordered different however I obviously went for fish, and I was not disappointed... Shame no mushy peas.. Overall great experience, highly recommend. No complaints, aside from mushy peas!

Great pub with a lovely atmosphere and the host at the door have great service and sorted us a table up top.Really good food from a takeaway down the round which you can order and bring in.Some chatter in the bar area about the food not being very warm.Keep the menu simple and you cannot go wrong. Please take AMERICAN EXPRESS!!!
