"The Travellers Rest is a beautiful Cornish village pub nestled between Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay beaches, just a mile from Newquay Airport. The pub and glamping pods are located on the North Cornwall coast with easy access to the south west coast paths. Dating back to the 17th Century the pub has a cosy, friendly atmosphere and a fantastic range of the finest beers, ciders, spirits, wines and coffee. Our menu changes with the seasons, as we create our menus around the fabulous produce we have available on our doorstep. We are hugely passionate about great quality, home cooked, locally sourced, seasonal fresh food. You can expect to find the pub classics, as well as some of our own twists on contemporary and international inspirations."

Stopped at the travellers Rest after some serious travelling so seemed quite appropriate. Staff here were great, friendly helpful and efficient. The fish and chips were top rate, nice crispy batter good chunky chips, and the beer was very well looked after cool but not freezing and crystal clear. What a lovely pint. Thank you for making the effort. A very well run pub.

Best pie in years. Steak and ale plus a Guinness for no money at all. Traditional bar and pub. Loved it. Try the fish burger, to absolutely die for!

Came in as a group of eight menus arrived immediately and drinks ordered and all arrived quickly. Food was then ordered and all meals arrived together, something that doesn’t always happen. Food was lovely and portions generous. For high quality food and drink wit fast efficient service I can recommend “The Travellers Rest” even the dog was catered for with with some biscuits and he was most happy about it.

Had a superb Sunday Roast here today, Mothers Day. Absolutely delicious. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The little touches and attention to detail were wonderful. Would highly recommend.

A great choice of food, nicely cooked and presented. Excellent fresh fish special. Most mains come with their own interesting selection of vegetables. Nice to see a good range of choices for children's meals, with healthy options. Service was efficient, yet friendly.

Really good gluten free options and huge portions. Food was beautiful and the staff were all lovely and well presented. Highly recommend this place, beat food we have during our stay down here.
