Excellent carvery with top quality meat and tasty vegetables such as leeks in a cream sauce, and cauliflower cheese. Efficient and friendly service to go with it. And nice to find a restaurant that serves a carvery on a Tuesday.

A mixed bag on our first visit for a carvery today. We booked for 2:30pm and arrived around 2:20pm. Upon walking in and checking in, there was obviously something amiss, mentions of 'someone having been moved earlier and the table wasnt ready'. I assume this meant onto our table. However another table was found and we were seated. Our drinks order was taken and 10/15 minutes later they arrived by another staff member and we were asked for our food order. We stated carvery and then more time passed before another member of staff came over and asked if we'd like to see the pudding menu. We explained we'd like our carvery first. He apologised and looked rather embarrassed.More time passed and we eventually got called up for our food, it was around 3pm now. The food looked good, the gentleman serving the meat was very pleasant and the portion was spot on. The vegetable selection was ok, a wider amount would have been nice.Sitting down and eating was the star of the show and the food didn't disappoint recommendations we'd had. It was delightful. We'd come back for the food! Here's where it went downhill again. Upon finishing our food we were ignored for an eternity before yet another staff member came over and asked if we'd like the pudding menu. He returned with it after a while and then we got ignored for another 20 minutes or so. Several members of staff seemed to walk past oblivious to us, one even making eye contact and one serving the couple next to us before rushing off before we could get her attention.Eventually we decided to pay and leave. We didn't at any point get asked how everything was until after we'd paid. We explained about the dessert fiasco and were told it'd be passed on.We appreciated it was busy, but there's no excuse for poor service or being ignored. Yes we could've made a fuss or chased staff, but that's not us and we shouldn't have to.I'm giving three stars based on the food alone, the service however was sub par and I'll leave that for now. I'm not ruling out a return, but if the service was this poor a second time, we'd not return a third time.

My Brother and I took my Mum here for her Birthday. Mum and I had Carvery but it had been sitting around a while so veg wasn't all that great. I had a Spicey Meat loaf, as I'm Vegatarian. It was very nice. Rest of my Family's food they were very happy with.It is a nice place to go for a meal, but best get there early if you want Carvery.

Visiting a relative in the hospital so stayed overnight. We had room 2, a family room.Lovely clean room with comfortable beds.Unfortunately the first thing we noticed when the door opened was a bit of a pong. I think there might be a bit of a problem with the sewers. However, it wasn't overpowering and I stopped noticing it after a while. But, it needs dealing with. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.Had a nice evening meal in the bar.Breakfast was fine.I would stay here again.P.S. You have to go up some stairs outside to get to the rooms. I struggled a little due to poor mobility but I just took my time and managed it OK.

The Vic is a very popular Pub in Threemilestone, Truro with a strong loyal clientele. The service, food and ambience are par excellence and they continue to deliver fantastic pub grub and service. Reasonably priced, the pub has sufficient parking and also rooms for staying. A visit is strongly recommended.

Carvery was extremely tasty with turkey, pork and beef all cooked really well. Seated quickly and ordered drinks as we sat. We were able to go up for our meal very quickly. But when this was cleared and the desert menu was brought to us we sat for 35 minutes with nobody coming back to us. Eventually gave up, paid and left. But the food we had was very nice.

Haven't been there for a few years So my visit the other day for a light meal & meeting one of my Mates. I was not disappointed, The staff were very helpful, polite, and made me feel at home. There was a very good selection of tasty bar bites, or you could choose from the carvery, to individual Meals, the Food was great, and of course fast selection of wines, Beers, or an Ice cold larger. 😁👍I just don't know how they manage, the prices are fabulous, and won't burn a hole in your wallet. It has a well advertised take-away service, a delivery service, and wow, love the big breakfast 👍😁 So for all who have not yet paid a visit don't wait any longer, I know you will not be disappointed time to get out of the house, come on down

Popped in on the off chance of an early evening meal and they managed to accommodate. We have dined here several times but in this instance the service was slow. I put this down to them trying to get the carvery ready for 5 p.m. Just one piece of advice and it may be just my taste, but I was disappointed that the steak pie had gravy poured all over it! The pastry was just soggy. There is enough gravy in the pie itself. I'd have preferred the peas direct on the plate and a small gravy boat, which would suit all tastes. Apart from that, the meal was lovely and plenty of it!
