A real shame, friendly and quick service but not a good meal. Maybe they were just too busy? The chips looked nice and chunky but we're really dry and powdery. The cod was ok but I also had curry sauce which having poured it on the chips discovered it was cold. Daughter had a battered sausage which looked very lightly cooked and she couldn't eat it. Sadly we had to throw half of it away. We had taken the meal away otherwise we'd have returned it, it's a awesome location so let's hope it was just a bad evening.

Lovely fish completely spoilt by awful chips. They tasted like dry oven chips that had put in the fryer. We couldn’t eat them so they went in the bin. Why would you not use potatoes to make chips? Very disappointing.

Very, very disappointed. Perhaps our expectations were too high. But considering the price, the quality and level of cooking should have been far higher. Crispy squid was bog standard. Seafood linguine was a huge let down. Everything on the dish was over cooked. The hake was tough and chewy, the prawns too and the pasta far too soft. The special of a trio of fish came with such a small quantity of each fish. Really not worth the hype. I’d go round the corner to the Victory Inn. Fish and chips and food there is excellent, slightly cheaper and a much nicer atmosphere.

Was able to get a seat at last minute with a busy restaurant, lucky me! Service was spot on from all the team, and I although in Cornwall I decided to buck trend and take a steak, honestly cooked to perfection so compliments to the Chef and Kitchen team. The seafood to start was also equally appealing and tasteful, fresh and a delight to eat. Not sure how often I'll be in the village but if so I'll be sure to return.

Amazing fish and chips from the Watch House takeaway window ♡ crispy batter, fluffy chips and home made tartare sauce and aioli 👌 would highly recommend!

Great fresh food! The best seafood spaghetti I've ever had, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Not sure if the place has changed management recently but previous experiences years ago were mediocre - very glad it's improved now!
