We recently spent a week in St Ives and ate out pretty much every meal sampling a number of different types of places and varying levels of food price/quality.Without a doubt we loved Yellow Canary the most and in fact was the only place we revisited, in fact we went 3 times! They do simple foods like sandwiches (inc Crab), sausage rolls, Cornish pasty, cakes, soup, Coffee/Tea etc but all freshly made and we thought with the best quality, care and attention, they have plenty of staff all very welcoming and attentive. You can order through window or sit in (recommend) If you are in St Ives it truely is a must stop by far the best Cafe and look forward to visiting next time we are in St Ives.

I went today and had the best fruit pasty I have ever had. I loved them so much I bought a load to take home. I had a capuccino whch was really lovely too. The staff where friendly and super nice. I highly recommend going there.

Had a a few flat whites to-go and they were amazing. I spent four days in St Ives and everyday I HAD to get a coffee there, and also the place is extremely pretty

Certified gluten-free Pasties that come in bags. They were good. Sadly , because they have to be in bags to keep them Gluten free certified, and then heated up in the bag, it makes them a little bit soggy so you don’t get the flakiness but you also don’t get sick. Some gluten free desserts too. Lovely staff. My daughter wiry celiac was thrilled to get a Pasty so we are truly grateful! Thank you!!!!

Nice place but...nowhere inside or outside the cafe are the food prices displayed. Not on the chalkboard, not next to the items themselves, and there's no menus inside for ordering. Surely that can't be right??? Felt like they were trying to hide something to be honest. We paid ÂŁ26 for 2 sandwiches and a hot chocolate sitting in. You can judge for yourself if that's good value.People ordering from outside through the window were using contactless and i didn't hear the assistant telling them the prices before they tapped.

So we went here for breakfast at 9ish and had their House Fratata and a Rare Beef Sandwich with the coffees which were excellent. Then went in for 4pm Cornish Cream Tea which was also 👌, and subsequently had a few of their pastries for takeaway when journeying around the coastal paths.Staff are friendly and banterful, dog friendly from what we could see. Definitely go in the earlier times or later afternoon to avoid the rush and crowds.

We got a takeaway from the yellow canary, because it’s one of few places that do gluten free pasties in st Ives. It is pre packaged and warmed up, but the flavour was excellent.

Me and my family visited this lovley little cafe the other day, we waited around 5 minutes for a seat. (At our own choice) but the staff where very accommodating and helpful. We had a cream tea and the three different types of sweet pies offered. The pies where absolutely delicious. The cream tea was nice. But a little stingy for £7 (photos attached) pricing wasn’t that clear and possibly more soft drink options but apart from that all was wonderful, would visit again

I've tried nearly everything on the menu here, and it's all great. Staff have always been great and the prices are just rightGood independent coffee shop.

Our first visit to St Ives Post lockdown for 9 months! It's terrible weather, in the middle of summer and families with children are wandering around in the rain trying to shelter. Such a shame. This little gem serves takeaway food of high standards and were duly making a killing from their street side window. We elected to go inside....yeah!!! However it is not big so if you are still a bit wary of social distancing it's probably not the place for you. Just had coffee....and then 2 more!! Good service...not sure about the takeaway cups or the standard extortionate price since lockdown but they were bright and gay.....this is life post lockdown!!!
