Toast in Cornwall

We’re returning customers and we are always so delighted to get a table. We’ve worked in Spain for 6 years and think this is one of the best tapas bars we’ve been to ! The staff go out of their way to welcome you - nothing is too much trouble. If you’re in Newquay it’s definitely somewhere I would highly recommend. Best vibe, people & tapas !

Great food and great service, bar manager didn't want to charge us for a drink due to delay, not a problem staff very busy and not going to moan. Loved the place make sure you book always busy. Will be back.

Visited on 12.04.2022 between 7pm-9pm. Male waiter incredibly rude. We were on a small table so asked for Camembert as a sharing starter before other “tapas” came out and then got asked if it could be cleared whilst we were still eating it. The man came over and asked us what we wanted him to do as we hadn’t finished our starter and our food was ready ……. What a completely bizarre question to ask. Then our food got served to another table who had apparently ordered the EXACT same food as us …… absolutely won’t return. Terrible service and the “tapas” aren’t Spanish in the slightest. The Bravas sauce wasn’t bravas sauce and was served incorrectly, Camembert, halloumi and nachos aren’t tapas so that’s confusing. The beans had no flavour, the chips had no flavour and everything was padded out with bread. The waitress with tattoos was very friendly but the other two staff members were rude and the food had no flavour. On the plus side, cracking margarita cocktail. This comes from someone who had worked in customer service for 15 years and grew up in Spain.

Lovely restaurant with a good atmosphere. Service was quick and the food was amazing and great value.

It’s under priced. Food is great. staff are superb. Every time I’m in Newquay, I bring friends and family here. It’s not failed to impress.

The food was really good, the prawns especially. We would definitely visit here again. A bigger wine selection would be good but there was so much choice with gins and cocktails it didn't affect us at all. Whenever we walked past, whatever day of the week it was always busy. The owner was really welcoming and helpful with getting us a last minute reservation.

Gorgeous food for a start! Staff were awesome, atmosphere and music was perfect. Really welcomed and helped to celebrate my birthday. Made it a real occasion!

Was looking for a bite to eat and most places were taking bookings only, happened to stumble across this place around half 8 and we were allowed to dine in as the last customers. Service was brilliant, the server was also a bartender and very friendly and knowledgeable, there was only one chef working and the food came in a reasonable time to a high standard. Would recommend and will be back next time!

We visited in July and managed to get a walk in table. The atmosphere was perfect - relaxed and intimate with cool deco.The service for our drinks was really fast despite it being busy and the cocktail were delicious! We ordered 5 tapas dishes and fries which were all beautiful, will definitely come again when we're next in Newquay!

We had a great night here. Food was really tasty - ordered chorizo and chicken skewers, patatas bravas, halloumi, chorizo in wine with bread (see picture). Bread is quite light but that’s fine for us. There was a really nice vibe inside too.
