Great choice and quality. Helpful staff on the cheese and deli counter

Since the branch closed in Torquay, this is our nearest store.Always find loads of lovely things in here - don't shop in here when you're hungry!!The quality of produce is always top rate.Their spice / world cooking ingredients aisle is worth a visit if nothing else.I believe Saltash is a flagship store & so you're guaranteed to find some unusual & tasty treats in here.Free on-site parking & friendly staff

Brilliant range with some unusual products. Bought the Heston chocolate apple to try which looks amazing. Waitrose always has some good offers on too so it's definitely worth checking out.

24/2/22 Shop is great for food and customer service but the male toilets fall below the standards you would expect. Not only was it not cleaned thoroughly; corners at floor particularly but all the paintwork looked tired and in many places needed a complete repaint. Complained to duty manager so it will be interesting to see how quickly it is remedied.

A quick note to say how kind and friendly everyone at the café and front desk was in helping me locate my mother's glasses yesterday (Thursday 24/2) afternoon. We were en route to see her granddaughter perform and it would have been awful for her not to be able to see. We were only transient shoppers/customers but the kindness, patience and thoughtfulness of the staff were made what would have been a miserable experience into a great memory - thank you all

I love Waitrose and always go as I find the shopping experience enjoyable with friendly staff and great customer service in an environment that gets our whole family excited about what meals we can cook every week! Unfortunately today (3.2.22) after our big 2 weekly shop we did not have that experience 😔 The shop looked short staffed, although no problem with stock. When we got to the till with our loaded trolley the cashier, Michelle, virtually rolled her eyes. (I felt like I had done something wrong by buying so much!!) No hello, how are you, no friendly chit chat, she opened her mouth to tell us we had put too much on the conveyer belt and carried on. I tried to keep looking at her as she worked painfully slowly through our shopping to see if I could make eye contact to give her opportunity to speak and be friendly but no 😔 It made such a bad atmosphere. I did think maybe she was having a bad day.I mentioned it on the way out to customer services who did apologise profusely on her behalf.I had to go back in to the toilets as my little boy had something on his coat. Oh my gosh!!!🤢 Absolutely filthy and the terrible smell was filling the whole area. I spoke to another lady by the self service desk called Jackie to report the mess who again did not greet me with a smile but with a scowl!!! In a very abrupt way she informed me they would be going back in shortly (at the designated time) to clean. What’s happened Waitrose????!!! In my experience of working in retail all of my life the general ‘tone’ is set from the top. From a very disappointed regular Waitrose shopper 😔

The food shopping experience is the best around. The partners could not be more pleasant and helpful and the space and general ambiance of the store delightful. I almost regard a visit there as one of my favourite days out!! As an impoverished pensioner I have to be very careful with my expenditure - however if you are careful the prices are compatible with other supermarkets. Also there is some limited welcome seating available when it’s necessary to have a rest to collect one’s thoughts and consult the shopping list!

May seem like they are slightly more expensive but you get what you pay for. There isn’t an item that tastes bad in the whole shop! Lots of them are price matched or on deal anyway. Waitrose are genuinely trying to reduce waste and most importantly plastic waste! And they email a proper explanation about their plans. The staff are always friendly and helpful and they have plenty of staff available. This is how a supermarket should be run. Keep up the good work on the plastic reduction 👍🏽

Great place here, top quality meat, fruit and vegetables. Staff are polite and helpful, and you get a free cup of tea too. Try Cote de beof, Hereford rib beef from here, it's very tender and tastes out of this world
