On arrival which stated 15.00pm. We arrived at around 15.00pm on the 18/04/22 and the lodge had not been cleaned from the previous people that stayed. We arrived on bank hoilday monday! We accessed the property to find everything all messy,a broken glass left, which my young daughter touched and no cleaning that had been done! We went to the main reception and said about 64 waterside, they said it wasn't anything to to with them as the property is rented out via another company.Reception kindly gave us the number of the owner of the lodge. Called the owner who said they will send someone to clean the lodge. We waited over an hour for someone to arrive! The company said check in wasn't untill 17.00pm. Even if it was 17.00pm,no one arrived until 16.30pm to clean the lodge. An elderly couple turned up to clean the lodge, felt so sorry for them. They did a good job,but felt like they had to rush which wasn't fair on them. They were very kind and apologised for this and left a few snacks and a bottle of wine for us. The company apparently had no knowledge of our stay,we even called a week before we travelled to confirm the booking and they even confirmed our stay and even gave us a code for the key box to access the property. Key box is located at the back of the property. This was Poor communication and hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else when they stay in the future! Also it is very quite, but there was some sort of animal running about in the loft,it sounded like it was in the property at one point and running up the walls. It was so loud, thought it was a squirrel at one point in the property,I know this can't be helped and every hole blocked, but it needs to be looked at by the owner. Overall after a bad experience on the first day. The lodge is lovely, well equipped no shops really near-by but ,about a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest Asda and Lidl's

Big rooms, lots of space. Brilliant location. Quiet. Hot tub great xxx

·

Very nice unusual lodges, only one little problem floors upstairs creak when you walk about so can wake people staying downstairs up when walking about

After staying here for 7 nights I think I can give a good reviewThe lodge itself was spotless and had everything you could needStaff at reception were friendlySegway adventure was too expensive so that was sacked offBar and restaurant was closed which was a pain because nearest pub was 5 to 10 minute drive away so that again is useless because if your driving you can't drink !!!Why the sites pub and restaurant was closed is beyond me and I really think this is a low point for the site.Another thing which I think is annoying Is the check out time 9am that is too earlyEven travel lodge allow 10am and Premier inn allow 12 I think that could at least goto 10am, spoke with a cpl in next lodge to me and they were in agreement about this.I would normally mark down on this but it's only worth 1/2 star along with the closed pub. So as I travelled all over Cornwall via car and train and used the lodge as a baseI'm not going to be too harsh but would not return unless all activities were up and running as for the lodge its brilliant, warm, comfortable, Internet free, good beds, shower was super powerful. And the weather was brilliant so added bonus.

Great location in central Cornwall and easy to get to with free parking. The lodges are modern, warm and comfortable. Ours had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining area and kitchen.Clean and well equipped. Free WiFi. Beds are comfortable. No issues except the bath jets weren’t working which is minor.Due to covid the gym, swimming pool and restaurant were not open though supermarkets are in Bodmin nearby.

Fantastic stay in January. The cottage had everything we needed (excluding baking trays). It's a perfect place to stay for families. Good sized rooms and great facilities in the cottages. Welcome pack provided was a great idea. Most of the additional offer was closed due to covid, but with a pool, gym and restaurant, it has everything you need. Will be staying again.

Really lovely accomodation. I went during winter but still made use of the outdoor hot tub. Spacious rooms and quite area. I'd recommend looking into it!

Very nice and quiet place that provides all your comfort requirements. The rooms are quite spacious and clean as well. Kids loved it as there was a smallchildren's play area, and there is also a private lake where you can fish as well. Only downside is that we discovered a foul smell and a lot of pet fur on the fabric sofa. We understand some people have their beloved pets but a deep clean on such furniture would be ideal especially considering. Also most facilities such as gym, foot golf etc were closed during our stay.

It’s a lovely place to stay with family. Located at Bodmin, this property is in central location if you are planning to travel across Cornwall.Property comes with all amenities with private parking. (2BHK)The property in picture is the “Lodge” so if you fancy that building make sure to tell them that you want the lodge and not Bungalow. It’s been a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.I payed £725 for 5 nights (Sep 2021)Thanks and hit like if you find my review helpful.

The second time we have stayed. Lovely site. Quiet and in lovely surroundings. Good location to explore Cornwall.Sadly the pool and restaurant remain closed. The lodge was very clean with a well equiped kitchen. It was great having a washing machine. The beds were Comfy and there was a nice spa bath.My only criticism is the balcony needs attention as poorly maintained.I would highly recommend this resort.
