"We are a friendly, welcoming country pub in a traditional setting that offers great food, and a wide range of drinks. We always have three or four local ales on draught, a good choice of lagers and ciders and a selection of fantastic wines and spirits at reasonable prices. We also have a Gin list with over twenty different gins and a choice of 5 tonics. Our menu consists of a variety of delicious classic pub dishes, all homemade using locally sourced ingredients and an ever changing specials board using the best seasonal produce. Whether you are dining with us or just enjoying a pint by the fire reading the papers, we would love to see you."

Went in for a late lunch which was no problem at all, even though it looked like lunches had finished. Husband had amazing burger and chips which he confirmed was delicious. I am currently on a special diet and had a chicken salad which although wasn't on the menu, again was no problem at all. Salad and chicken delicious and plentiful. Cheerful, helpful staff in beautiful area. Well worth a visit.

Staff did their best under pressure. Food wasn't brilliant some overcooked and some under cooked. Staff were careless when clearing away dishes and spilled gravy over customers. Rhubarb and apple crumble was apple crumble. Not really a good experience

Not a good experience, at 1pm, 2 people booked, would not let us sit in a window seat because it was a table for 4 and was booked for 1.30pm, who did not turn up. THE PUB WAS EMPTY!!! fish OK chips not good, curry was tastless, even though marked on menu with 3 chillies stale poppadom, nan bread was actually a pancake!!! We had booked for today for 6 people but so disappointed on Wednesday we cancelled booking for today. This pub needs to improve the meals and service. So sad because could be a nice place.

Food was average. Went owing to all the lovely pictures they put on the website but the actual food served is nothing like that at all. Pub in itself is nice. Service of Food was good, bar service slow but i think that is due to lack of staff behind the bar. Shame really as i was looking forward to it.

Booked for a birthday meal on Sunday evening and was really impressed with everything. The pub is lovely and cosy with a traditional feel. Service was very good, they put so much effort into my husband's birthday dessert! Food was delicious and very fresh. A beautiful traditional British pub. Highly recommend.

Lovely little pub right out the way.Loads of parking, fantastic views, warm and welcoming. Great selection of beers.Recommend booking ahead as at 4pm on a Saturday, every table was booked. We only stopped off for drinks though so all was well. Will stop by again

Myself, husband and parents came here for lunch on Friday. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner. Great food and service throughout. There was a varied menu on offer with something to suit everyone. Highly recommend the curry, not too spicy, packed full of flavour with a good chilli kick. Complements to the chef! Desserts were also very good. Can't wait to return.

Great Sunday roast! Food cooked to a high standard with choice of meats and plenty of vegetables. Yorkshire puds were huge and very nice. Puddings were very good quality. Lovely food and attentive service. It was busy, always a good sign. Good prices for 1, 2 or 3 courses.

Came in tonight as part of our honeymoon. The staff are very friendly and thoughtful. Food is brilliant, I had the curry, handmade there from scratch and it's quite possibly the best curry I've had. Great portion sizes and fairly priced. Definitely glad we popped in there!
