Wongs in Cornwall

Quick service but poor quality. Spring rolls empty pastry absolutely no filling -bland, very disappointing. Tried informing them over the phone but opinion dismissed and told ‘they are very popular’. Based on what we had, unlikely! A. Better spring rolls B learn to take constructive criticism. The customer does generally have an opinion that should be valued and not dismissed without consideration.

Nice beef curry, but wasn’t keen on the beef chow mein.

Went just before closing and the chicken was really dry

ordered large noodles, was delivered small noodles, questioned this on deliver and advised they only do small noodles.... So why not say that when I ordered... Put two small noodles if you can't manage to cook a large pot. Hundreds of pounds spent here over a year. Never again

very good selection of food friendly staff and reasonable prices

First time we have eaten at this Chinese, but it’s definitely the best we have ever eaten. Fresh ingredients, full of flavour, arrived extremely quickly. Delivery driver was polite. Very happy will be returning again. The prawn dish we was recommended went down a storm 😍 Thank you

Great veg fried noodles!! Absolutely hit the spot. They also made us a vege stir fry with garlic sauce upon request which wasn't on the menu, and it was delicious. Also tried the prawns with black bean sauce which was good, but didn't enjoy the szechuan chicken as much. Overall it did well to satisfy our Chinese food cravings! Good service too.

I ordered duck in orange sauce with noodles. I got one tray with three quarters noodles, a lot of pineapple and a very small amount of duck with a slice of orange on the top ?!! Pineapple is not orange! What do you want me to say? The manager needs to get a grip and sort the staff who do not know what they are doing. I paid £8.00 to £9.00 for mostly noodles and pineapple. Never never will I order from there again. Do not take the English in this country for fools!! Anything will do? No it will not!@

So close to be 5 stars, a really great takeaway.Finally a Chinese takeaway that isn't stingy on the meat portions. The crispy shredded chilli chicken and beef are both fantastic dishes. The sauce is far better than others I've tried with a good kick of spice. The difference between he beef and chicken is also really good, the beef is in strips and then coated whereas the chicken was coated and then cut.Duck in bbq sauce on rice is my go to for any Chinese and this one is a stand out. Unlike most where the duck is just thin cuts laid on top of the rice, Wongs gives you a whole duck breast sliced on top of the rice, fat and all. It's amazing for the price.The only mediocre dish we had was the plain soft fired noodles as a side dish. But this dish isn't the main event so don't let that put you off.

Wong's Chinese is located in Crockwell Street in the centre of Bodmin. Parking is possible outside but I guess not really recommended. Looks a little run down from the outside, but don't let that put you off. Food always freshly cooked to order and tastes really good. Waiting times normally around 15 minutes. They also do delivery in Bodmin for a charge of £1.50. Due to the demand of deliveries they wait can be sometimes longer if ordering on arrival. Friendly staff. Worth trying. The lemon chicken is amazing 👍
