Not being vegan or gluten intolerant this place is slightly wasted on me, food is all fine, but a sausage sandwich is just that, for me I’d rather go to a cafe and have big fry up for the same money, the cakes are very good and you wouldn’t know they are vegan or gluten free

Always good, especially the cakes.Just visited again, still friendly staff, but rather disappointed to see that instead of plates and mugs, we get food and drink in disposable cardboard containers. So much smaller than before but more importantly, yes compostable but still far worse environmentally than reusable crockery. Please please consider the wastage that this creates.

Kate is so welcoming and the food and drinks are great. This cafe caters for everyone and her vegan cakes are so good. Had a lovely morning there today socialising the puppy. Dogs are very welcome here. Keep our local cafes going đź’–

I love this place. Best vegan breakfast/brunch for miles and the cakes are always great too.

The worst dining experience I've ever had. They had 3 tables in and I had to go inside twice to have our order taken (20 minutes). We finally managed to order then wait another 25 minutes for an apple juice (out of a cartoon) and a homemade lemonade (pre made). The food then came with a hair in. Staff with long hair didn't have it tied back or hair nets. Top it off I ordered a pasty which came out partially frozen (too cold in the chiller?) Then had it microwaved into a soggy mess. đź—‘Update based on the owners response - firstly you had 13 people in and 4 staff working, not sure what you class as short staffed but for your menu size and the amount pre-made that seems overkill. The lady with long black hair didn't have it tied back you can see your kitchen from the table.Looking at their other responses it is always "poor me, we are trying" well I'm sorry but other people had poor experiences as reviewed on here and also around us on the day (lady next to us asked for water and had to send her cups back as they were dirty and had mouth marks on them). I suggest the owner gets into the cafe and puts some elbow grease in to up standards and training accordingly.Lastly to top this all off the owner is a full of BS, we went over to Lidl across the road to buy food as we hadn't eaten and guess who is in there buying food and taking it back to the restaurant... front of house staff. So ÂŁ7.50 for a badly made, slow, cold Lidl sandwich!Just avoid this place and putting money in this owners pocket.

Katie and co are lovely and friendly and also have the best gluten free cakes in town!

·

A true hidden gem of the area. The ideal spot to start your day of cycling but with coffee and cake this good (and the staff so delightful and friendly) you'll struggle to leave.

Just stopped for breakfast, as you can see i had the full Cornish breakfast, i love a breaky and have to say that this was possibly one of the best breakfasts i have had out, every element on the plate was full of flavour and tasted fantastic, cooked perfectly, service was good and the lady serving me couldn't do enough. Cracking food will be back.

Arrived for the first day of our holidays to Cornwall after a long drive, asked a friendly local where we could get a breakfast, he pointed us to this place at the foot of the camel trail, a cycle and walking path. opening time on the window stated it was open at 9, we were told we couldn't order food until 0930, so we ordered coffees and bottled water and got a menu, coffee was a little weak for our liking, and water was from a multipack from lidl. Our food order wasn't taken until gone 1000, lucky we weren't in a rush, the staff very polite and welcoming. We all ordered the full cornish breakfast, The eggs were poached perfectly, the field mushroom was a little watery, the bacon and sausage were of good quality and the sourdough toast was adequate but nothing special, the beans were a little dry. .So if you're looking for an average breakfast at an above average price, and dont have somewhere to be, this just might be the place for you.
