NICE! Right next to the river, in the sun, very close to Fowey (maybe a good coast path trip?), fantastic staff, very nice fish n chips,...during lunchtime they do "deluxe sides" which is essentially a nice starter just at a better price! I'll definitely go again

An outstanding little gem of a place. Had the pie deal and what a choice 😋 The crumble was superb too 👍 We will definitely be back on our summer trip in August to see you again.

Great impromptu lunch, good quality pub food and good size portions. Well priced. Good and Friendly barman.

Recently staying in Golant we were delighted that there was a local pub and our intention was to use the pub for our evening meal 4 or 5 times during our stay. Previous reviews had been mainly good so we were surprised at the lack of welcome and the mediocre quality of the food. Local customers are bread and butter to all pubs and it is right that any landlord should look after his local trade but to us there was a very definite difference in the treatment of locals and visiting guests. Luckily we found excellent and friendly pubs who were obviously happy to have the trade not too far away.

Great food and beer. Excellent fish pie but also good selection of veggie options - not just veggie burger - one of the best veggie cottage pies I've ever tasted.

·

Really delicious traditional home cooked pub grub, the fish pie was excellent as was the steak and ale. Good selection of ales and a stunning view of the river Fowey from the ample seating on the Riverside terrace. You could spend a whole afternoon watching the boats from here. Proper hidden gem!

Lovely, friendly pub with a good variety of veggie options and this week is curry week! We'll be back in the daytime to see the creek in the daylight!

We had a fantastic 3 course meal here! After kayaking on the river we were ready for a hearty meal and that's exactly what we got! The service was very friendly and the staff were very accommodating. The fish pie was delicious and the bread and butter pudding with custard was exactly what I needed when it started to get a bit chilly sitting outside. For a table inside you will need to pre book as it was pretty busy. Highly recommended pub with a great view from the garden.

Great place to stop off after a lovely walk along the Saints Way. Excellent, tasty food with gluten free options. Good selection of drinks. We will be back!

Excellent local pub and great beer. Not only a good view but if you're lucky you can see a digger drive on rails. What more could you want?
