We popped in Ye Olde Malthouse Inn for a pint one evening and liked it so much we went back the next evening too.Very friendly staff and a very nice pint.We sat outside in the evening sun and chatted away with other customers. A really lovely atmosphere.

Lovely place to stay and cant fault location. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food I cannot fault. Our room no 1 which is located at the rear of the building was very cosy and and nicely decorated but unfinished, it was a bit noisy as we had to keep our window open as the room did smell a little . The carpet was a bit grubby with stains and could do with a freshen up. The noises were from local dogs continuing to bark for a long period and some building work being done at the time.I would stay here again tho.

Really wonderful place to get food and drink. The staff here are so lovely, nothing is too much trouble and everything done with a smile and a personality. Highly, highly recommend this establishment!

Nice room, but I would of preferred a sea view. As my room didn't have a good view. Lovely breakfast and dinner, and plenty of local ales to choose from. Tintagel is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place to stay. Room was so lovely, bathroom amazing, clean and wonderful smelling potions. Bed was very comfortable and even though it was over the pub and facing the street it soon was very still and quiet. Food was excellent if a little pricey, but hot and very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved it.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of food and drinks. Tasty lunch sandwiches and soup were delicious. It's a lovely old pub thick walls quirky seating areas. Well worth a visit after the walk to the castle.

Friendly staff. Pub full of character. Great food. No complaints! And they're dog friendly. Entrance has a small ramp. Was able to move around in a powerchair although some areas do get narrow.

Reserved a table for 3, with a dog, online for Mothers Day. It all worked seamlessly following our castle visit. Most importantly, the pub was great and full of charm, the staff were very friendly and although the menu was limited the food was really tasty. We would definitely visit again.

Visited Tintagel Castle yesterday and we are not from the area so didn’t know most kitchens closed mid afternoon. To set the scene the rain had just started to pour and it was incredibly windy, so we were cold, wet and hungry! After getting the cold shoulder at King Arthur’s Cafe, my husband and I headed to Ye Olde Malthouse Inn to look for a light bite. The landlady was so welcoming and pleasant. She kindly told us that the kitchen was closed but that we were more than welcome to get some food from elsewhere and come back to stay warm and dry.Really restored our faith in kind and decent human beings.Thank you, a little bit of kindness goes a long way and if we visit Tintagel or nearby again, we would happily book a room at the Inn.
