Gammon, eggs chips @£15. Probably the best gammon I have ever had and cooked perfectly. chips very slightly greasy. Eton Mess was also perfect. Portions large, service very quick and friendly. Plenty of customers, including many walkers, but try not to park opposite the pub, plenty of on street parking a couple of minutes away. Very photogenic pub and village. Highly recommended!

A nice country pub just off the Windrush/Diamond Way. Great value, hearty portions of good food make this an ideal pit stop on a long walk.Stella was a fantastic host. Thank you!

Lovely friendly village pub. Stopped for lunch on a walk with the dog, had a very tasty mushroom stroganoff and the dog was also given treats!

This is a lovely pub, exactly as you imagine a well aged rural pub should be, lots of friendly conversations, patient dogs sprawled at their masters feet and low ceilings. The lamb shank was very tender with a flavourful sauce, likewise the chicken stuffed with Stilton, though a bit light on the prosciutto wrapping. The only issue is the chips, they could probably use a longer cook in the fryer, as they were a little undercooked and not particularly crisp... double fried works best. I would go back any time I’m around but would avoid the chips. The sticky toffee pudding with double cream hit the spot.

Lovely location. We stopped here for lunch whilst on a circular walk from Bourton. The food and beer were very good and reasonably priced. Staff friendly. The pub is dog friendly and we noticed a bar mainly populated by the locals. The bar we gravitated to was more for passers-by but will go with the locals next time.

Great food, atmosphere and staff. Really nice local pub.

Really nice tasting local Ale. Fish and chips was one of the best I've ever had. Food was served quickly, it was hot and the portions were massive! Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about coming here 👌

A great local pub. We popped in for a drink and bite to eat on a walk. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The sandwiches were fantastic. All good value for money too. Can't wait to visit again.

I can't stress how awful the food is, it's just disgusting. We got simple items thinking soup and chips couldn't be that bad. The tomato soup was NEON pink and cold. The chips were like they'd been carved from costwold stone. They were rock hard shells with no potato in them. We had to leave the whole lot. And the bill for the two soups, one chips and a couple of soft drinks cost £20! The pub setting is full of posters with offensive outdated views about women and religion. We felt so sick when we left we had to go to the nearest shop to buy some gum to get rid of the taste.

The midpoint for a walk with friends, and a delightful welcome form attentive and helpful staff. Great food, and large portions meant that we were all very happy indeed. The setting is lovely, the pub characterful, and I fully intend to return. Probably more than once!
