Cafe Rendezvous in Cotswold

Great wee cafe in Wigtown with delicious home made food which is very reasonably priced. We had the fishcakes and salad, chicken burger with fries, orange and lemon cake with coffee and tea, everything was really tasty. Staff are lovely too. Will definitely be back 👍

We would have liked to have eaten lunch here (Readinglasses was closed) but they don't allow dogs. The café did seem a bit 'squeezed in' which may be the reason. The food looked very nice and we subsequently returned to take-away some of their scrumptious looking cake, which didn't disappoint. The Orange and Almond gluten-free 'cake' we had was head and shoulders the best we had all week. I say 'cake' because it was moist enough to be a pudding. No doubt we'll go back to takeaway some more of their confectionery when we return to D&G next year. As a footnote, it looks a lot better on the inside as the photograph would suggest - even if they don't tolerate dogs.

Only vegan option, after waiting on a freezer inspection was a salad. Apparently they usually have some vegan curry in the freezer, which didn’t sound that appealing anyway. Cakes looked nice, but we weren’t looking for cake at lunchtime. This was the second attempt to get lunch in Wigtown today, with only two restaurants open on a Wednesday, neither could offer a hot meal. They aren’t doing Wigtown any favours.

Excellent little cafe, great selection of lunch dishes,specials, fresh kids menu & massive selection of fresh cakes! Food was absolutely delicious and the staff where very friendly and accommodating with our 10 month noisy baby

Cafe style food done very well with GF options available (they know what they are talking about) cakes are all made in house and fresh

My daughter stays in Wigtown and we visit the cafe with the grandsons .a good we cafe ,it does hot food as well as coffees and cake and everything we have had has been homemade .if in Wigtown pay a we visit folks

We found this café when exploring the local area and wanted a hot drink and something sweet, but our options were quite limited as most places were closed, so we went in. We had coffees and cakes, which were pretty good. The staff were very attentive and friendly as well. We would go back for sure if we ever visit Wigtown again!

Very welcoming, friendly staff, lovely food. We both had pancakes, maple syrup and bacon - yummy. Coffee was very good too. There looked to be a very good selection of cakes although we didn't participate this time. We'll definitely be back XxX

Lovely cafe that offers food on a blackboard. We plumped for cake and hot drinks. Cake was so good we got takeaway also. Staff were very nice, couldn't do enough.
