Lovely location.Friendly family atmosphere.Staff were great, enthusiastic & helpful although one member didn't seem to know the menu all that well.Mains were lovely, burger was one of the nicest I've had in a long time....Nice to see proper chips!!Puddings were a bit of a let down to be fair....Quite small portions, pretty expensive for what it was & the sticky toffee pudding was regrettably quite dry.The Rhubarb Mess promised Candy Floss & all you got was a tiny piece, sadly not what I was imagining....Overall, nice as treat.A steady 7/10, well worth a visit!!

A beautifully located pub with excellent service - the waitress, when asked, was able to give a list of options for a coeliac member of the party and the staff as a whole were really happy, attentive and lovely. The food was nice and I like their own beer which they brew. Nice outdoor area also, with access to a field for kids to burn off sugar!

Quint essential Old Englush pub. Nice atmosphere. Lots if customers eating and chatting. I hadn't booked for lunch and they were fully booked. Staff were friendly and the food smelt amazing as I walked in. The plates were full and the food looked great on people's plates. Will definitely go back fir a meal.

Food was lovely although as we were a large group of 14, there was a lot of delay and confusion of orders. We all had roast which came out on platters to help ourselves but there were only 2 which made it difficult for those at the ends to get food. 1 of the puddings was forgotten but quickly bought out once requested. Despite the confusions the food was really nice and there was plenty of it.

Firstly the good parts.... Reasonable range of food and it tasted good. Located in a lovely part of Kent. Service was acceptable but not exceptional.Personally I found that it was about 25% too expensive for the size of the portions that finally arrived.

Stopped for a random lunch on way down to Dungeness today and very glad we did. Lovely old pub with several ales on and also their own brewed 1606 which was very good indeed. Wife’s breaded periperi chicken was light and delicious while my scampi in a basket at half the plate price was just the perfect amount. Even though we did not push the boat out on lunch I would expect that if you did, you would not be disappointed. Nice to see a pub brewing its own ale too! Lovely all round and nice garden.

Arrived here to a lovely looking pub! We started off with the tapas for a starter and all I can say is wow it's like a Spanish fiesta on the tongue of incredible quality loved it especially the prawns!! Then for main I opted for the burger and well I'd of got up and done a dance on the table was magnificent! Succulent meat and the onion rings were bloody gorgeous! Highly recommended and tip of the hat to the chef and waiter/waitresses! 👍🏻🕺
