Excellent burger, and roast beef. Lovely puds. Good service (and that on a busy Sunday lunchtime too). Good place to eat well (and watch the horses go by!).

A cosy room, in a beautiful village, with a short walk downstairs to the pub, to eat the most delicious food, greeted by both Mark and his wife to be, Sarah. If, like me, you can be a little hesitant when booking a stay in an unfamiliar area; be assured you will not be disappointed in booking at the Halfway House.

A lovely 1st visit. Good food, nice service and a friendly (well-behaved!) dog.

Great pub tucked away in a secluded Cotswold Village only a 5 minute drive from The Cotswold Farm Park.We had a table for 6, four adults and two children, plus two labradors who were warmly welcomed. The food was excellent and clearly home cooked, the baked Camembert was a great sharer too start. The kids fish and chips and chicken and chips went down very well. The steak and ale pie is fantastic and a generous size whilst the arancini satisfied even the Italian in our party. The Landlord and Landlady were friendly and chatty and Mark recommended an excellent pint. This is well worth a visit. If following sat nav to find it, watch out for the map guiding you down a narrow lane - you have to ford The Windrush!!!! Unless you are in a 4x4 you are best to take the route via Temple Guiting. This is a proper Cotswolds Pub with a warm atmosphere and top notch, home cooked and prepared food. A real find for us.

Came here for a Sunday Lunch. Very nice pub with a great atmosphere. The starters were great but the Sunday roast wasn't quite as good as we were expecting. Yorkshire had a bit of a chemically taste, the veggie Wellington was quite sweet, and the beef was quite overcooked. Not to say it wasn't nice, it just wasn't amazing. Puddings were alright.Staff were lovely and very good. Pub was friendly and dog-friendly.

It does not look like much at first glance but the food is just perfect, my burger was amazing! The menu is small (always a good sign!) so I imagine the rest was as fresh as what we had.I wish the outdoor siting space were a tad bit more comfortable though (there are simple picnic tables) but that’s details. 😉

Stopped in on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. Sat out front and but for the odd car passing it's was one of the quietest places I have been in a long time. Had a couple of the Donnington ales which are very agreeable. Our food was outstanding, myself and the B&C had the pie of the day. There is a small car park but considering how busy the road is I don't think parking on it would be a great issue.

Cracking little country pub with good food, drinks and a beer garden.
