Off the beaten track you might be lucky enough to find this quiet and friendly dining room. Well laid out and with an inviting garden, this a lovely place to be. Although the menu is quite simple, the food is largely Well presented and delicious, though the Eton Mess was frankly a disaster. Friendly staff and dog friendly, well worth a visit...

I went on a Monday, I wouldn't recommend going on a Monday as they had run out of half the menu (because there closed Tuesday they don't cook so that they can use up the food they have). It's a beautiful little place with nice staff and very good service, the food was amazing and very good sized portions. I had bacon quiche and salad, the potato salad and the coleslaw where home made and delicious. I would definitely go again, just not on a Monday.

I ordered a BLT and when I received my food I noticed some mould on the baguette - told the waitress who took it away. Then a chef came out and very rudely told me that she wasn’t sure what I’d seen but it ‘couldn’t possibly have been mould as the baguettes were baked fresh’. There were 5 adults in the party so we knew perfectly well that it was in fact mould. It also appeared to us that the baguettes were probably bought part baked and not actually made from scratch. The interaction was much ruder than if we hadn’t spoken to a chef at all. Very disappointing as the meal was more expensive than I would have expected and no discount was offered for the mouldy baguette.

Sadly average. Ordered a tuna baguette with side salad, fruit scone, Diet Coke and vanilla ice cream in a cone. I got a plain scone, two cokes, no baguette and an ice cream in a broken cone for a 3 year old. Cheers guys. Chased up the baguette to go and we eventually got it in a brown bag, no side salad. I think the baguette alone was £12.

An absolutely lovely time today with my daughter and grandaughter spent feeding the alpacas and having a lovely lunch.Nice welcome, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. The highlight was the lovely lady who was so clearly knowledgeable about the alpacas. Thankyou so much , we will certainly be back if for no other reason than I forgot to buy some lovely wool !!

This place is a real find. Kids loved stroking the alpacas and the donkey before and after lunch. The café looks out onto a gorgeous garden absolutely teeming with birds, which we watched while we had lunch. The food was lovely, I had the vegetarian option, which was good. The cakes are amazing! Would definitely visit again if we were in the area. We were lucky to get a table though - pre-book if you can.

Wonderful start to the day, feeding Alpacas, followed by a lovely breakfast. Excellent, friendly service, thoroughly recommend.

Yummy lunch, great service. I stopped on a bike ride. The poached chicken in stilton was delicious and pot of builders tea very welcome. The cake selection looked amazing. I'll be back another day for coffee and cake.

Recently went to Jennies Kitchen for a spot of lunch. My party of 4 had not been to Jennies Kitchen before, so were looking forward to seeing what was on offer. On arrival we noted some really good COVID signage, making it clear there was a one way system and hand sanitiser in place. There was a reasonable selection on the menu, but most options were essentially Salad or Sandwiches - not the best for a cold wet day in October. I noticed there was a Lasagne on the special, so opted for that. My wife opted for a panini, my son the same and my mom went for Jacket Potato. We also ordered drinks, so was a bit disappointed when only half our drinks turned up, but it was no big deal as we were getting hungry. There was quite a wait for food, but we were happing chatting and with COVID, it's possible the kitchen was under staffed. When the food turned up, I was disappointed with mine, there was wan't a lot of Lasagne, but lots of salad. The Lasagne came with boiled potatoes, so was also surprised to get even more potato in my salad as well. The panini's were ok, not much Tuna in the filling, but again lots of salad. My mom's jacket potato definitely looked the best, and having tried some tasted the best. She went for Coronation Chicken, which again came with salad, but no where near as much as the other meals. I was also surprised that it also came with potato salad. From my perspective, the Lasagne was tasty, there just wasn't much of it - it was more like a child's portion in other establishments. We decided we needed cake afterwards as most of us were still hungry. The cake selection was good, all freshly baked. My Bakewell cake was excellent, but again slightly disappointed that I had to pay a £1 extra for cream, especially given it was already about £5 for a slice. My overall experience was ok, would I rush back - No. It was very clean, but I guess it has to be at the moment. It was expensive for what you got, so that definitely would put me off. Maybe the pricing is based on the huge New England style houses that have been built in the area, but for me, definitely too much for too little.

Good coffee, nice cake, great ice cream in a lovely cafe, with a fantastic garden that has flowers everywhere, quite stunning. There's also Alpacas which my son loves, so there's an added bonus that I'm pretty sure you won't find elsewhere.
