Le Patissier Anglais in Cotswold
Where is Le Patissier Anglais?
🏠 The Square, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham GL54 0GF
"A French inspired patisserie in the heart of the Cotswolds. Our shop has an open working kitchen and our products are made fresh on daily basis. Our cakes choice varies and depends of the season and demand. A polite reminder that we are a pastry shop and we are happy to serve coffee and tea when you are enjoying our pastry products. Our shop might close earlier than the advertised hours when we sell out."

I ordered a strawberry Fraisier cake for husband’s 60th birthday celebration having picked it from a photo on instagram, it was truly amazing. Carl also, kindly made a Basque cheesecake as a special request as it is my husband’s favourite. Highly recommend.

So, here we are almost one year after sampling Carl’s amazing pastries. My son, daughter and I STILL text each other photos of the pastries we bought at your place. And, STILL the best bakery I have ever been to! THE BEST BAKERY IN THE WORLD!!

I consider myself somewhat of a pastry connoisseur (😉), and I must say that the pastries at Le Patissier Anglais were truly out of this world! The owner, Carl is such a nice guy also and we enjoyed talking to him for a while. I wish I got a picture of the delicious and beautiful items that we purchased, but I was too anxious to eat them! We did get a picture of the cute package they came in. If you are in the Cotswolds, this is an absolute must visit!

My wife and I visited this patissier,As we were back in Stow on the wold. The food this man creates is amazing, and he is at the top of his game. When ever we are near the location of his shop we always pay him a visit. We have tried lots of his creations over the years and every one of them has been a exquisite pleasure to eat.

Absolutely spectacular. Certainly the best dessert I’ve had in England. Just like I walked off the streets Paris. Carl is fixing everything right in front of you. Get there before he runs out. I purchased two items and Iwas only going to take a bite and then save the rest for dinner. I sat down in the Square and consumed both of them immediately and Went back for two more. Great place

Fantastic pastries, and very welcoming experience. Owner took the time to explain all the different options; helping me make the right choice - with lots of different options to choose from. Will definitely return!

Again, great selection, lovely taste and very pleasant owner, always willing to take time to talk and explain what each cake is.

Excellent pastry shop tucked away in a tiny town in the Cotswolds. Found out that this gentleman has been making high-level pastry for years in some of the best hotels and restaurants in London (Claridge's, The Dorchester, Gavroche), and it really shows when you eat his product. We had the pain chocolat, a white chocolate and raspberry pastry, and a strawberry and vanilla tart and all three were excellent. We've also got a cheddar and leek pastry that we're saving for a day or two, but it looks truly amazing. Carl is also very friendly and attentive - he even gave us a fantastic recommendation for a pub a short drive away. Highly recommend a visit to this shop if you're in the area.

We love this place and always visit whenever we plan a trip to the Cotswolds.Like many others, we have travelled a bit in France and fell in love with their patisseries and boulangeries. Le Patissier Anglais is a little slice of that, but much closer to home. Our favourite is the custard tart - though we usually buy a selection to pick from!Karl is lovely to speak to every time. Be sure to order in advance, as things disappear very quickly!

Really amazing place! Everything is baked and served by the one person, who works very hard and trained at La Gavroche in London, and had also worked in Paris. We initially ordered a cake each and a drink, and then ended up ordering another cake each! They are delicious. A treat for the taste buds! Super value for money too. Will be back! Can't recommend enough! Try the Mille Fieulle and fruit mousses.
