Michael's Mediterranean Restaurant in Cotswold

Nice small restaurant in the heart of Chipping Camden. Really great food. Excellent service.

A very disappointing evening. Arrived on time for early table ( told this was the slot available) then waited over an hour before any food arrived. Meanwhile wine left on table with no cooler. We chatted politely. We reminded staff after this hours wait, then food arrived quickly. Moussaka undoubtedly burnt and we said so. Waitress poked spoon into dish - to demonstrate moussaka was fine underneath burnt crust! Moussaka was not fine, it was dried out. Chips also massively overcooked. When we mentioned this ( after eating meal) we were told we should have asked for fresh ones. A strange way to serve dinner.I understand this is not typical for the restaurant - I think we were maybe forgotten? But it really spoiled our evening and was a disappointing aspect of a weekend away.

Great restaurant super staff, food great. We all enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Lovely place. Really lovely.Food was fantastic. I had Moussaka (made freshly to order which was amazing), partner had Hake. Both absolutely delicious.Wines excellent.Coffee excellent.Cake excellent.Staff excellent.Looking forward to our next visit (fortunately we are local 😋👍🏼)

Sunshine tables out front were enjoyable. Fresh and tasty “moules and frites” and good fresh fish on menu. Looked like it had a super vibe inside, comfortable, cool and at the same time cosy with a great bar selection.(Sadly a lack of cleaning on table outside, nor plate clearing or general table service outside was missing. I cleared the previous guests plates. I wiped the table a bit. I popped indoors to order indoors myself. I popped inside to pay by card without seeing the bill. So a bit laid back service wise and arguably a bit too horizontal but that was certainly part of the charm). Delicious food.

Really delicious Mediterranean style dishes. Great service, nice atmosphere, place to come back. Really large portions!

We have had the warmest welcome we could ever get. Me, my husband and our little one came in for lunch on Friday afternoon and had such a nice food! It was home made and just delicious! Our little one got so much attention from the Chef and the lovely ladies behind the bar that we could just relax and enjoy the wine.This morning we popped in for a coffee and had a bit of cake. I truly don’t remember when I had such a nice cake last! Everyone made us feel so welcome again. Thank you!I wish there could’ve more places and people like at the Michael’s Mediterranean

Highly recommend! Everything we ordered was delicious, but the prawn saganaki was something else! Excellent service, cozy set up & food is a treat to the tastebuds. We’ll be back!

We visited here in November for an evening meal and it was amazing! The menu was different from their website or Facebook page but didn’t disappoint.Only wished we lived closer so we could visit again!!

Wonderful food and staff. Not sure why there would be negative reviews. Delicious moussaka and staff and venue were brilliant.
