We shifted our family event to The Old George at the last moment. Henry and the staff were incredible and helped us with the arrangements as well as on the day. The hot food buffet they served was delicious as were the beers on tap. I'd highly recommend them for your event or a nice night out.

We went to this pub with my 4 and 2 year old kids as it was suggested by its sister pub Royal Oak which was fully booked. It was a lovely place and as busy at It could get. We ordered food and had gluten free options as well. However, the food came very late, more than 1 hour after placement of order. I complained to the pub manager, Henry, about the delay especially as our kids were grumpy and complaining. Henry was very kind with us and truly understands the value of customers. He apologised for the delay and offered everything on the house. There is no reason why I shouldn't visit this pub again in the future. A bad day can happen, no worries. Knowing how to deal with it and showing that you care about customers no matter what is a huge plus. Many thanks Henry for your professionalism and attitude. We will see you soon again!Andreas

Very warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Kind enough to let us in in despite muddy boots and dogs. Lovely lunch, nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommended

Nothing special. Food was ok, nothing wrong with it....just nothing memorable.Staff were just so so, with long waiting times for food.Worst thing that spoiled it for us was the loud music banging through the dining area....killed all chances of conversing with friends, had to shout at each other. Understandable in the bar, but don't need a speaker in the dining room!!!

We waited 2 hours for the worst food ever. It would of been ok if the food was cheap but Β£17 for a burger that was a worse quality than MacDonalds. My partner got the Katsu Curry and it was the most watery sauce ever and the chicken was like chewing a rope. He has since thrown upThe management staff didn't even apologize. I don't know how you can hand someone food that looks like that two hours late and not be embarrassed. One of the waiting staff tried the sauce and was disgusted by it. The assistant manager was also very rude when we tried to complain. The only saving grace was the cocktail waitor who was incredibly accomodating and made us all personalised shots. He is incredibly talented and needs to find a better place to work.

Good selection of ales, reasonable prices. Overall I found the place a little clicky for my liking, I definitely wasn't made to feel welcome. The place seemed devoid of atmosphere. For this reason I won't be making a return visit.

Fantastic pub with lovely bar, restaurant and beer garden. Great menu and food at a good price. Staff are all very friendly and exceptional service.

Associated to a few other family run Pubs close by, we were not disappointed with the food on offer. Meals competitively priced. Service was on point with some really lovely grounded staff who are trying their upmost best during the pandemic/lockdown tiered restrictions in place. The suggested Korean Chicken Taco's were sublime!Highly recommended.

Nice proper pub. Shame I don't drink on Dr's orders. Reduced outdoor menu during the pandemic. The beef burger is delicious. Children's play area. Dog friendly (obs) Good social distancing. Order on the app. No signal for your data contract so use their wifi. Martin Frobisher's Apple jubilant juice.
