Loved this place, a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere were just what we needed. The staff were very friendly, attentive and dog friendly too. Didn't think I would have the best pizza for ages in a Cotswolds pub/hotel but there it is. They have wood-fired pizza oven and the bases are thin and crispy; delicious. I'll certainly be back.

Great food, everything fresh and tasty. The service was great - staff were very friendly and the food arrived quickly. The dessert we wanted was sold out but ordered an alternative (vanilla cheesecake) which was super-tasty.Interesting and comfortable decor too.Parking on the road outside is busy but there is a large carpark just a couple of minutes walk down the hill.

Service extremely slow, and staff were not particularly helpful. Sat outside in the beer garden which was a lovely setting. Were told we had to order inside if we sat outside which was strange but fine, went to order to be told we had to pay for our food before ordering however other tables had tabs for drinks not sure how it really differs. We paid for the food when it arrived the pizza one person ordered was missing the chicken so had to be re-cooked, burgers were over cooked, there was no cutlery we had to go and find it! They never put the lights on outside so ended up sitting in darkness we asked for the lights to be turned on as we could see them only to be given a response of basically no! The atmosphere created didn't make you feel welcome, it was also very expensive for very little.

This is one of the absolute best places I have stayed. The staff were all absolutely excellent and really went above and beyond. The rooms were extremely comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast and dinner were exemplary. Can’t fault it. We will definitely be back!

I can't compliment The Sheep enough for its hospitality and food. The guys that work there cannot do enough to make your evening as enjoyable as possible. I had the local steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the sea food linguine. Overall a real treat to find such a lovely place to eat.

Nil for the booking process. First I tried to book for nine people and it said there were no spaces available. Then I received an email saying that they would be in touch, closely followed by another email saying they would take the booking with a ÂŁ90 non refundable deposit. Whilst I can understand a non refundable deposit 24 hours in advance, it is quite unacceptable a month in advance. We have now booked on separate tables. Same number of people same booking, no deposit - where is the sense in that.

Had a lovely stay at the Sheep - very friendly and helpful staff, nice room with a big bathroom and double sized walk in shower. The breakfast was really excellent with a lot of options including cereals, pastries and cooked options. Fancy coffees cost extra but filter coffee was included. Sausage sandwich was especially good!Hotel is dog friendly, but they are kept to one part of the food area so if dogs aren’t your thing they shouldn’t bother you.We didn’t eat in the restaurant except for breakfast so can’t comment on the food besides that. One thing - the car park is small for the size of the restaurant and hotel so worth considering you may have to park on the street behind the hotel, not a big deal for us but if you have accessibility issues be aware that you may need have a bit of planning.

Our favourite local pub, lovely staff that always make us and our doggy feel welcome. Super dog friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. Pizzas are so good as well!!

Called up to book a table, but was told no availability for the next two nights. Then proceeded to book a table online for later that evening - no problems. Disappointed that the food was all obviously frozen and for the prices, the food should have been fresh. However, good service from the staff hence the extra star...
