What a lovely, quaint cafe to get savoury and sweet delights. We got a mac and cheese, and a mushroom cheese omelette and both were so delicious! Really hearty, homemade goodness. We had to rush because we had only an hour and had to go but how I wished we had more time to try the scones and have a cuppa coffee!Another major thumbs up 👍 👍 👍 to the lovely people and service here.

This is a great place and we’ll worth the wait. The cream tea was exceptional- great scones. We enjoyed the courtyard, but the inside was really cozy.It seemed like everything you order here would be good.

Lovely tea room with friendly staff. Only had coffee and a slice of Victoria sponge but we were made to feel welcome and that nothing was to much bother.

Loved the Teacakes. Very popular so tends to get crowded even on a weekday!

A way to guarantee bad service and get rude looks is to ask for a VAT receipt. Had cream tea in what looked like a nice little heritage place. I asked for a VAT receipt to which I got worried and confused looks saying the card receipt was all that they give out. The worried owner then told me that the VAT number is on the card receipt to which I corrected her saying it wasn’t. She then said it was on the ‘other’ receipt but it was too late to give out (this being 5 seconds after I paid). Either they really don’t have VAT receipts, which is illegal, or they are not VAT registered, which seems odd since they seem to be turning over quite a few tables in a very busy tourist area, in which case is also illegal. I really do wonder what they say when a HMRC officer asks. Anyway, I got the typical ‘why-are-you-being-difficult’ dirty looks and the hurriedly cleaning of our table with all the crumbs falling on to my lap ☹️

Not sure if ever been in a such intimate place before... just few tables and a lovelly room to have a bite or as is says a small talk :) love the name and it perfectly fit the tea room, elements and decorations. As was in a day trip I needed a quick lunch due to limited time bedore leaving location and to be able to see the beautiful town. The lasagne was perfect and delicious (assuming was cooked before I choose this dish so I didn't need to wait a long time :)Many thanks!

Wonderful food, drink and service. Absolute gem of a location in beautiful surroundings.

It was rather cute cafe. The staff was polite and welcomed us. The place inside is cosy and warm with old English architecture. Building itself has been kept in its original shape from outside. Limited seating and you’d be lucky if you get space at busy time. I don’t believe they have reservations. Food was delicious and affordable with value I was expecting. So yeah, it was all great experience. 5 stars for everything and definitely recommended.

There's a plethora of tea room choices in Bourton-on-the-Water and Smalltalk certainly compares well. It's a very traditional tea room with good service and a pretty enclosed courtyard. £5 for a cream tea with a tasty scone, jam, cream and plenty of tea.
