We went for our friends birthday and were really looking forward to it. Had a couple of drinks downstairs which was fab but when we went upstairs to eat things went downhill. Ordered our first lot of drinks, fine, ordered our food, food came, the lamb chops arrived with overcooked veg and chips. On the menu it said garam masala lamb chops with coriander and mint chutney but no chutney and just plain lamb chops. Two of us ordered this, complained to the waitress, they had no idea it was supposed to come with a chutney, went back to the chef but didn’t come back with anything just apologised. Friend ordered dauphinois potatoes with his steak which arrived 5 mins after he finished his meal. We ordered drinks which never arrived. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to it. Food was expensive for what it is and service not great.

Good lunch, enjoyed the visit, efficient staff. The fish pie was short on fish, the fish of fish and chips needs to be cooked longer as the batter was on the soft side and the chicken and ham pie would have been better hotter. Deserts were excellent.

Amazing food, staff and ambience. So chilled here I wish we could have stayed all week. ❤️

The place is amazing! Decent service and a good selection of drinks. Was a little disappointed with the burger but everything else looked pretty good!

First time at this venue, we were very excited to come back since the refurbishment. The venue is amazing and the staff are lovely, especially Martin our waiter. If your coming for a roast dinner I would advise to book a table before 1pm. We arrived at 2pm for a booked table and the kitchen had run out of all of their meats. Very poor, we won’t be returning which is unfortunate as it’s our local.

This place has CHANGED in the last year or so. It went from an overpriced, average quality food to blow your mind amazing! It used to be our local so we went back there when we were in the area. I honestly did not expect much but ended up having the best meal I've had in a very long time. Fantastic Sunday roast!

We had an ace meal here this evening. Wonderful ambience and decor. Our waiter Martin had great banter and was the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. Very tasty food, hearty portion sizes. Will return
