The Black Bear in Cotswold

Came here for dinner after a day of shopping and we all loved it! We had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely delicious! Their chips were so good as well and my husband loved the beer. I forgot to take a picture of the sticky toffee pudding, but it was out of this world, a must have. Saving this place in case we ever visit here again.

Visited the Black Bear Inn for Sunday lunch - roast beef and lamb. Staff very friendly and attentive, beer good, food excellent. I would have no hesitation in returning, or recommending to others. Great job Black Bear Inn team.

Superb! Best place in town to eat! Our waiter was amazing! Great sense of humour. They have right proper chips there. Food is amazing, the pies are superb.

Cannot fault this pub. The place was heaving when we arrived early evening. The barman (Dave) asked if we'd booked a table which we hadn't. We said we'd happily have a drink and wait for a table to become available. Meanwhile one of the locals said we could sit with him.....the 3 of us and between us 4 dogs, got on like a house on fire. Dave informed us he had a table becoming available, but we were happy to stay put.....ordered our meals.....fantastic food!!! We weren't pushy, we went with the flow, understood the pub was busy and were treated with mutual respect. 10/10 for customer service, wonderful home cooked food and really great to chat to the locals. Thank you Team Black Bear!! :)

By far and without a doubt this is the best pub in Moreton! Amazing staff who are always so welcoming. The food is exceptional here as well. We will continue to be regular customers to the Black Bear. Can’t rate them highly enough!

The only reason for the 2 star rating is due to the fact that it is a very pretty place. That's it, as it has nothing else to offer. I waited so long for my coffee that my friends has almost finished drinking up.The biggest issue was the staff, so Kurt and very grumpy. This is not the way to talk to customers people, sort it out. Don't grunt at people with you one word answers. Try to smile and chat, this way YOU may begin to actually enjoy your day. Try to find a positive, rather than treating every customer as an issue.

Really relaxed pub with an attentive host ,ale kept very well, food was very well presented ,the steak and ale pie was fab highly recommend, don't miss out on this pubJp
