The Close Hotel in Cotswold

After spending time in Thornbury Castle in the west tower over the weekend this place is on the same parr with the food and hospitality

Only went for coffee which was great. Good service too and an open fire lovely 😍

Great restaurant which we had cream tea in which was equally lovely.We sat in the bar area which,as can be seen in the picture, is beautiful.Taking a walk through the building you can quickly see why it is busy.Service is great and no problem.Food was great and super fresh.Great range of teasWill come again

This is our 5th stay at the close and we love it. And For exploring the cotswolds tetbury is in the ideal location with the bonus of tetbury being a great little town with good restaurants and interesting shops

A piece of elegance in Tetbury; the Hotel & building are just what you need to escape to the Cotswolds and relax with quality in mind. I have not stayed in the Hotel, but the Restaurant is a touch of class (if a little pricey). The food is exquisitely cooked & presented, the staff are polite and friendly, which makes for a wonderful evening out in elegant surroundings.

The presentation was better than the flavour. The service and decor were fantastic. And the presentation of the food was nicely done. However the overall flavours were let down, and that is ultimately the main reason you come to a restaurant. I was left feeling a bit disappointed unfortunately. However, the tiramisu and espresso were good, so at least a good end to the meal.

Lovely Sunday roast with beef and chicken options available. It was busy so good to book ahead.

Very enjoyable lunch at the close, great food, service and atmosphere.
