Stayed nearby and couldn't wait to try this restaurant. it did not disappoint. Wonderful friendly staff, fantastic menus and tasty food, not to mention allergy friendly too. We came back again for Sunday lunch of roast beef before returning home. Heartily recommend.

We stopped here for a quick drink and some snacks and we're very pleased with our choice. The menu was quite fancy but it wad reasonably priced and the food was excellent. We only order a range of 'nibbles' almost like tapas dishes but they were amazing. Service and staff were very nice and welcoming too. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Lovely bar and restaurant in the centre of Bolton by Bowland. Four Mice beer is brewed on site. The restaurant has fabulous if limited menu and the food lives up to expectations. All in all thoroughly recommended.

The Coach and Horses is a fantastic country pub with rooms, with a team of staff that match up to the beautiful characterful building.James the manager ensured our stay was perfect, and he has a team that continually go above and beyond. The room we stayed in was called ‘Henry’, and it genuinely couldn’t have been better. With views across the village and a gorgeous roll top bath in the room, it really provided perfect environment to chill on our weekend getaway. At the end of the stay James gave us a tour and showed us some of the other rooms, which were all decorated to a high standard.. and all full of character. We stayed for the weekend taster which includes bed and breakfast and the evening taster menu for dinner. It offered incredible value for the quality on offer. The food was top level, and again the staff made the experience that bit extra special. The head chef came out after the meal to check we had enjoyed everything and had a great chat with us. It makes such a difference when the staff clearly care so much about what they are doing. As well as the fantastic rooms and top quality meals, I noticed they also offer sandwiches at lunchtime for walkers, so whether you are just passing or planning a special trip, it’s 100% worth a visit. We’ll be back.

This is local dining at its finest. All of the dishes are made using local and seasonal products by an award winning chef. We didn't leave a single thing on our plates and were more than impressed with the flavours and presentation. Great restaurant for lunch as they have a lunch menu on that's not too expensive.

I didnt have a meal but visited on a sunny Wednesday afternoon in April. We'd walked over from Sawley and fancied some refreshments so popped in. There was a good selection of fine ales and being regular ale drinkers we went for something to sustain us on our 5 mile walk, a pint of Guinness. Now, there is an art to pulling a good pint of Guinness and thankfully the chap behind the bar knew what he was doing. What a treat. It was a top class pint. It's right swish and old world charming inside with cricketers pictures on one wall. The food menu looked delicious if not a little pricey for my pocket but wouldnt mind going for a special occasion at some point. We sat out in the sun and admired the pumpkin and mice pub sign too.

The most wonderful weekend. We stayed with our two children in the ‘Mouse’ room, which has its own mezzanine floor to give the children private space to sleep in whilst still having the security of having them in your room. The room was beautiful anyway but this made it even more memorable. We travel a lot but nowhere has captured the children’s imagination quite like this did. Very friendly staff, wonderful food (supper and breakfast) enjoyed by all four of us. Very reasonable price for the quality of everything. Village itself is lovely. Can’t wait to return. Thank you to James and his colleagues for looking after us.

Set in a beautiful village, this is a stylish restaurant and pub serving a range of menus from sandwiches to 3 course meals. It has a large car park with disabled spaces. The restaurant is relaxed and comfortable. It has been rated one of the best dog friendly pubs in the country. It serves an extensive choice of food, all of which is available on their excellent Web site. As well as holding the menus the website shows the impressive rooms should you wish to stay there. To this extent they are amply suited for functions, celebrations and I'm sure once you see the place and the village you will fall in love with it,just as I have.

Excellent lunch at the Coach and Horses today. Good range of interesting dishes on the menu and it's really good, refined cooking. Good front of house staff and nicely finished spaces. Enjoyed it so much we've booked in for the tasting menu Saturday night - looking forward to trying a pint from the brewery so will be staying over too! Loved the four mice and pumpkin theme and will be looking for the glass slipper......
