The Crown in Cotswold

We shared a birthday lunch and dined on the Sunday lunch fare! The lamb shank was superb with tasty fresh veg and a shout out for the cauliflower cheese in a delicious sauce! Good invested staff and slices of celebratory cake to complete a wonderful day! Thank you to all!

The pub has recently been refurbished, and they’ve done a great job. Food is good, service is very friendly.

The new team have transformed what was a very tired and sad old pub into a lively fun place to get beautifully cooked and presented small plates. You need 4-5 plates between 2 people. I can especially recommend the venison chilli or the lobster macaroni cheese. Excellent welcoming staff and a relaxing atmosphere.My only criticism would be the drinks are too expensive - I was charged £5 for pint of draft IPA and G&T is typically £9. Too much like city centre or hotel prices.

A great pub. Food is fabulous and ingredients different to an average country pub. I particularly liked the halloumi slider. The people here are really friendly, informative and service was very efficient. Definitely worth a visit and I envy anyone who lives nearby. The bar is dog friendly.

Booked in for the first Sunday Lunch under the new management and wow the pub looks amazing! Modernised with lots of nice touches on the interior and the food was delicious! Thoroughly recommend the Roast Beef, great portion size, extra gravy and leeks and the chocolate tart with sorbet. Brilliant service from Katy and the team! We will be back! 💜

Just been refurbished and being run by a motivated new team. and what a change. Tremendous attention to detail, it is now a real foodie pub. I went when it was quiet to get these photos and have not yet had a meal here.Will try it out soon and update this review.

Came here for a weekend holiday. We went into the pub after a walk. The staff were great! Full of great energy, brilliant conversation and complete professionalism. They had great knowledge about the food and drink and the service was fantastic.The interior is modern with a lots of quirks. Stunning, tasteful seasonal decorations for halloween too.The food arrived in great time and it was delicious.Honestly some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. Tapas style meals which were classic English dishes.Would recommend this pub to anyone!Thank you for a great experience and hope to come back again.

A great experience. Easy to find and convenient for the Cotswold Water Park. Checking in was easy and the landlord and barman were very welcoming. The meals were ideal "pub fare" and filling. The Motorhome Pitches were good (and level). There was some road noise but this didn't detract from the general ambience. I would have no problem using again, and probably will!

The Landlord, Chef was friendly a welcoming. My Fish and Chips was fantastic, my husband's Chicken was very dry.The camping site was very clean and a bonus to have the pub so close.We both agreed we would not hesitate to stay or eat here again.All the best for the future. xxxx

Stayed here with our Campervan for 2 nights. Basic site but lovely position in the Cotswold Water Park. Graham the landlord was very welcoming and chatty and is an excellent piano player! Eat in the pub both nights and the food was great. Fish n Chips extremely tasty and Burgers on the second night lived up to expectations. The beer is good as well !! Overall a really nice stay and we would definitely use it again 👍👍
