After a long few days of travel, we arrived for dinner, stayed in the family room, and had breakfast. After 2 weeks of traveling around the UK, this is still our favorite! First, The Crown is centrally located for a 2 day road trip through the Cotswolds. The room was perfect. Since we are five, it was a queen bed, 2 twins and a cot. Even with the cot, we had more than enough space. Just the fact that they would accommodate 5 to a room is special bc I found that most inns won’t do that. The water pressure was strong and the food was delicious both at dinner and breakfast. The freshness and quality of ingredients is top notch. Further, everyone at The Crown is so kind and welcoming, always with a smile. For one example out of many, my husband, son, and I went down for breakfast, but our girls slept in. The Crown had prepared a few bacon sandwiches for them and brought them to me as we finished our breakfast. If you are considering staying in The Cotswolds, this is the perfect place. Thank you to everyone at The Crown for making this a memorable stay.

Ok, so we just got back from The Crown Inn and stayed in the family room.I cannot begin to express how welcome we felt here. Set in a beautiful location, away from the hustle of London life. There is not much else to do in the immediate area and you need to drive if you want to venture out.Our room had a double and two single beds, was clean and they even freshened up the room during our two day stay.On a personal note to the team here, Thank you so much for your hospitality. You clearly understand the industry and demonstrated your expertise by the way you looked after us. Always smiling and saying Hi. I was going to say you have now idea how good that made us feel, but you do and that why you do what you do.The breakfast was fantastic, and it went down well because it was served with a smile.Keep up the good work. A sold 5* from me.Thank you!

A proper country pub, complete with log fire, local ambience, great beer and excellent food. Loved the sausage & mash! Well worth a return visit.

Ate a beautifully prepared Nut Roast with seasonal vegetables and a lovely home made cranberry sauce. This is one of my favourite Traditional Cotswold Inns, and my first visit for two years purely due to the pandemic and the fact i haven't been out that much! The staff were pleasant and helpful, the ale wonderfully kept and the log fires lit.It really was bliss. You must visit..

Great dinner choice. Been staying in Chalford Hill at the time and after a nice trek we were welcomed by their very friendly and hospitable staff. Great menu choices all around, cozy and warm atmosphere .

A lovely pub , very rustic and charming. Excellent food and service. The rooms were lacking in nothing, very generous in teas, coffee etc, clean and warm. I would recommend it to anyone.

Really welcomed by the team..very accommodating and food was lovely. It was a short stay but had everything we needed. Clean rooms were important to us and that was a big relief including a daily refresh service which was welcomed. The rooms were similar to other well know hotels. I would have preferred more brighter lighting and plug sockets but for the price it was good value. Parking was available right outside so that was useful, being a pub also it was busier but still able to park.During our stay we encountered a blackout due to an outside problem, out of the Inns hands. I really wish we had a knock on the door just to reassure us all and see of we needed a torch. It was really quite stressful not knowing how long. Eventually I understand the lighting went on in the pub early hours but for us in the hotel accommodation we had nothing. It could have been resolved as a trip switch went. I was frustrated no one came over to check and we had no communication..but I understand they were dealing with the pub during this time. Maybe it's a thought if it ever happens again. Torches for all and a quick knock on the door. We was kindly given some money back which was good will especially after covid for the blackout but the amount was quite differential..from £2.50 for a twin and £30.00 for a double. Not sure how fair that was or just an oversight in the stress of it all. We would happily stay again and recommend. It was a good value for money in a lovely location and the very young staff were really attentive and efficient. Its definitely worth a friendly stay with super breakfast and evening meal.

Very good food, very pleasant staff and cosy ambiance. Only high tables available though when visited without booking and far too high for a short person. Staff were excellent though and provided a cushion, but table was still very high.
