Stayed for 2 nights with the dog. Restaurant and bar were so good that we ended up eating here both nights. Staff were absolutely brilliant and food was impeccable. Would definitely recommend.

We had a family celebration at The Fox with a large party including 5 young children. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff so I’m surprised at a recent review suggesting anything but politeness!

It is officially back open and running!Went there today (Mothers day 2022), it opened yesterday on the 26th March 2022.Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. The village approaching the pub is idyllic, a real treasure of the Cotswolds. Even though it wasn’t sunny today, there were so many benches / tables outside to sit and enjoy food and drink by the river. A picturesque view and to top it off great food. I had the pork chops, my partner had the pie 🥧 and the rest of the table had the Sunday pork roast. Smiles all around and quality food. Well priced aswell. £17 for pork chops, £18 for roast and £16 for the pie. Bottle Verdejo white wine £25 and a pint of Guinness £5.60.Although the pub has just opened and been refurbished, it has been finished really nicely and will be back to enjoy the sun. It looks like a pizza oven is in the process of being made for the summer sun!

Overpriced! Tatty! We arrived to find the main pub bar was closed and everything was being run in a tent in the rear grounds. No mention of this when booking. Welcome was underwhelming. Room was nice, but signs of poor cleaning, dirty shower base.Outside area was covered in cigarette ends on floor, and in the morning the previous nights drinks glasses were still stacked up on outside tables. Food was decent, but expensive for pub grub. Breakfast nice, but dining room was very grubby. All in all expensive rooms, poor delivery. Not worth £150 for one night for a room. Felt ripped off. Good project for the hotel inspector to visit!

Very strange visit to The Fox Inn this Sunday. A beautiful pub set in a stunning location, we had high hopes for a lovely Sunday meal but came away feeling rather underwhelmed and disappointed. The food was distinctly average - the chicken pie was quite good but the ham egg and chips was pretty poor, and the pricing reflects the location but is way behind other pubs in the region in my opinion. Service was ok, when I asked for a glass of water with my meal I was welcomed with a bit of a huff and received a plastic cup with zero smile. I'm not asking for silver service, but feeling welcome is expected. And even the menu's were grubby and weren't printed out properly (so had to find it online to read it). The surroundings are lovely but the outside "bar" area is seriously run down and plates hadn't been cleaned from tables so it just felt rather dirty. Overall, if you want a quick pint in a nice spot then it's worth dropping in but don't expect anything over and above a bit of pub grub. It was rather quiet when we were there which we did think was a bit weird on a Sunday afternoon, but the reason is there are so many better places to go in this next of the woods.

Stopped off while on a long bike ride. The food was good value, tasty and arrived quickly, the deep fried brie was great! The location is very pretty and the service was friendly.
