The Masons Arms in Cotswold
Where is The Masons Arms?
🏠 28 High St, Meysey Hampton, Cirencester GL7 5JT
"In a bustling Cotswolds village, the Masons Arms sits proudly on the village green, which makes for a perfect spot in spring and summer to eat outdoors or just sit with a refreshing drink and relax. In colder months, warm yourself up by the open fire and wood burners. Nearby Cirencester is full of history and character, while quintessential Cotswolds villages are in abundance, waiting to be explored on wheels or on foot. Serving a selection of delicious foods daily from 12 - 2pm for lunches and 5 - 9pm for dinner, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays the kitchen is open continuously from 12 - 7pm. We welcome group dining if you are having a get-together in the country. Why not make a booking to sleep over in one of our beautiful rooms?"

Bustling, noisy pub with limited (Arkells) real ales only. Good food at reasonable prices. Pleasant staff. Downside - no car park, and street parking can mean a long walk for those not very mobile.

This place was a delight- with really good food. I had the best soup I have ever tasted. (The onion soup. Wish I’d stayed an extra day to try more things.) The rooms were comfortable and adorable, with thoughtful touches. Thank you for a great night!

Located in a very picturesque village close to Cirencester. The rooms have been recently renovated and they are very clean. The shower was just great. The bed linen and amenities are fantastic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant. There were many vegan options and the food was tasty. Very cosy. Dog friendly. I would definitely go back again and again.

Friendly welcome, lovely room. Breakfast was amazing, best bacon and sausage I have ever had, eggs had the most lovely orange coloured yolks. Just a note for those on motorbikes, parking is limited and uneven, although there is a village car park nearby. Bed was so comfy, nice finishing touches in the room, toiletries and tea tray, lots of power outlets, free WiFi. Shower was lovely and powerful, great big, quality towels to wrap yourself in. Dog friendly too.

Beautiful place to stay, food is absolutely amazing as was the service. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean, bathroom very small and awkward. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

Good, welcoming, but not excellent (which is my 4 star rating, 5 being exceptional). Lovely little village. Bar and staff very welcoming. Some of the meals, in particular breakfast, were excellent. The Australian burger 'special' however was sub-par. Rubbery burger, perhaps overcooked and certainly not to the standard of our starters or the other main courses we had. Those were, to the main, very good. Room was very small, some might say overly cosy. Old place, so possibly to be expected, with no dressing table or chair. Shower and sink similarly (vey small) sized. The rooms' electric storage heater was either on and scalding, or off (temperature control broken). Also we couldn't see how to open the blind and/or the window to let sunlight and fresh air in. Would cautiously recommend, but not the room we had booked.

Your place looks lovely by what I saw on Four in a bed, we would like to visit sometime in the future so will be intouch. We were disgusted with Wards Hotel behaviour and I have had my say on their google reviews, their underpayment to you was a disgrace. I have let the other contestants know on their google reviews my support for you all. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

What a place ! The room is absolutely adorable, staff very friendly then professional in the same time, the food is delicious from diner to breakfast, everything was just perfect, and not expensive for where and what it is - we love it !

Mason Arms is a lovely typical Cotswold pub, just outside the village I live in. The food was very good, and the service was warm and friendly. I had a 3 course meal including a Christmas dinner which was cooked and served to a high standard and even I (who eats a lot) struggled to finish it, barely touched my dessert. Masons Arms actually deserves 4.5 stars

We came here for lunch two years ago and enjoyed an exceptional meal, so we were keen to return when we were once again close by.We were not disappointed as we enjoyed a Sunday roast with starters such as deep fried Camembert. On our table we had chosen beef, chicken, pork Nd vegetarian roasts and they were all excellent. Vegetable sides were very good though the potatoes were a bit tough on the outside -- perhaps as a result of being under a heated spot ready to be served.Desserts were excellent (though we had to share them at this point!). The Malteser cheesecake being a real hit. We'd also made a mistake with table times and had turned up 30 mins late. We were accommodated quickly and with smiles.Thank you!
