Excellent Sunday lunch. Top marks for this real pub. No pretence, no flakiness, just honest good food and a nice atmosphere. Beer was good too.

We had no idea where to go to eat today. It was a bright sunny day but very cold so we headed for The Queens Head for a meal. We were informed that our dog was welcome to come in so we proceeded to our table. The two waitresses/bar maids made us feel really comfortable. We ordered sea bass plus veg and a salmon and prawn salad with a side order of chips. These meals were excellent We also asked if Max, our dog, could have a beefburger. This proved to be no problem and it came along complete with gravy which Max really enjoyed. We also found the locals having a drink at the next table very warm and friendly.A most pleasant interval and when we are back in the area we intend to return.

Friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Great steak & Ale pie - highly recommend! Husband had the Sea Bass & fresh veg. Good portions & value for money. Had the Citrus Tart for pud - delicious.

Great food and a nice traditional pub. A very reasonably priced menu, especially compared to some of the other pubs in the town, with just as good, if not better food. Staff were also very friendly. Busy so if you are wanting food it is best to book in advance

What a super pub this is. A "proper" pub. The food we ordered was very good, one sea bass with new potatoes & veg, one scampi with chips & salad. Very good beer from the local Donnington Brewery. The staff behind the bar and serving are all very helpful and friendly. Many thanks. We will come here again.

Delicious home cooked menu which was affordable, it was warm, cosy and dog friendly. We visited twice during our weekend stay at the Cotswolds - we hope to be back in the future too!

The food was top notch, great value for money and very well tasting. The staff would do laps of the pub and instantly be on the case of more drinks or food which was a first for any pub I've been in this year. 10/10 service.Building wise, it's a great old pub with beautiful features, and a rear yard with plenty of tables to sit and enjoy the weather.
