The Village Pub in Cotswold

The food was top-notch, as was the friendly and welcoming service. The staff really made a fuss of our dog, Reggie, too and we all had a lovely time, celebrating my wife's birthday. This is the standard all country pubs should aspire to.

What a wonderful pub. From the moment we stepped in we felt so welcome by the man behind the bar. Place was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Real character. Service was fantastic by the women that served us all so friendly and helpful particularly with my husbands intolerances and even had gluten free bread complimentary. Food was fantastic great portions and really tasty. Really good choices even at lunch time. Excellent soft drinks menu as well as alcoholic. Would definitely go out of our way to return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you.

Shocked by how they treat their staff ! and to see how the housekeeping staff use dirty towels and bath mats to clean the rooms no colour coded cloths no nothing we were absolutely disgusted to witness this as well as the same cups in our room were also cleaned with the dirty towels !! Talk about cross contamination especially in these covid times none of them wore gloves either when you think a room here is up to £1100 a nigh or so , certainly wont be returning , didnt complain at the time as was a guest of our friends who were paying for us but its been on our minds since !Response to response:You shouldn’t be surprised go see for yourself this must be happening on a daily basis ! It’s disgusting what I witnessed, its not my opinion its what I witnessed happening and your guests deserve better, most places have a colour code to follow and all I saw the staff using was my old dirty towels !! And one small guy swearing the whole time, my drinking glasses were cleaned out using dirty old flannels, even the toilet cleaned using towels I mean come on this is outrageous!!!

Had a delicious meal here on Sunday evening, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Thank you to all the team 👍

This is the only local for miles around so it’s important to support it. It’s not a glamorous wine bar or the like but they serve a great beer.

We had a lovely birthday party at this venue, food was excellent along with the service. Definitely recommend going there 😃

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was room one, and it was comfortable attractive and clean. Two strokes against this particular room: the kitchen fans woke my husband up early in the mornings (it didn't wake me) and the view is over the car park. But it's efficient and friendly with excellent food.

Fantastic experience here! Our party of 12 had a delicious three course dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive and it was a wonderful evening. I had the absolute best superfood salad I have ever tasted! Will definitely be back.

Stopped here for a drink on way back from a day out. Staff were polite but the three stars are because they would not/could not book us a table for an evening meal. Apparently they were not serving food unless you were staying there. We found this to be the same in most places in this area.

Loved the vibe at this pub. Only came for drinks but were treated so well by the staff. The service was so friendly, attentive and professional and we felt like nothing would have been of any trouble.The food dishes looked great that were being served next door so no doubt a meal would be excellent. The food menu looked varied and tasty.The ambience outside was great with music playing and the lights against the beautiful architecture of pub. All in all a great spot for a drink or food.
