The locals' Pub, as opposed to the Anchor Inn with sea views and an all fresco dining area. Nice old Pub, serves all the usual beers and ciders with emphasis on local brews. A no nonsense Local with friendly service. Pool table and Dartboard which attracts a younger crowd. Not sure if it's any cheaper than the Anchor but may well be. When I was there - beginning of July, it was quieter than The Anchor- which I preferred, though they don't serve food on weekday evenings but they do serve lunch. At weekends they offer evening meals as well as Lunch. Well worth a look.

Great pub with great staff and good pub grub including localy caught fish and shell fish on the daily specials board, a great selection of Beers and wine. Give it a try.

·

Local pub that we visit with our relatives, nice choice of ales and lagers, food served June onwards. Nice friendly atmosphere and not overly expensive

·

Amazing pub, the best in beer! And if you have a beer in the barrel O' Beer, don't forget to get your photo with the sign outside and you can even purchase a t-shirt as a souvenir.

Popped in on Saturday afternoon after a walk around the town and beach with the family for the obligatory beer in Beer at the Barrel O' Beer and had a lovely pint of local (Otter) ale whilst watching the rugby on the big tv! Staff were friendly and the pub was clean and welcoming. Will visit again when down this neck of the woods.

Popped in here around 12:00 on a Monday, just had a coffee. Fire was lit, cosy, clean and a warm welcome from the young lady behind the bar.A few locals in for early doors we had a chat and met some well behaved, pub trained dogs (Locals not residents)! Butch, the least butch dog you can imagine and Trevor.Easily the friendliest pub in Beer and the only pub that I’m leaving a review for as the others were nothing special.

Cosy, warm and inviting. Barrel O Beer was a welcome sight on our cold trip to Beer last weekend. We had a drink by the fire and played Pool on a newish table and had a lit of fun. Very friendly bar lady and lots of gins to choose from. Well happy
