Bloaters in East Devon

Loved it! Friendly, well organised and efficient staff even when busy. Superb fish and great chips. Well worth a visit.

Good food, quick friendly service, sustainable packaging. Note - not open every day, so worth checking opening hours.

I use Bloaters all the time , we’ve loads of local competition we’re near the sea . However without a doubt this Fish & Chip shop is 5star plus. It’s immaculate, the owners always work , they are diligent, great hosts, it’s spotless & im an ex hotel inspector. I wouldn’t review a chippy but I’m so impressed with the massive fish top quality, great till staff& the owners deep clean every Sunday on their day off.. I’ve never seen this standard in hygiene, food quality, portion size & friendly team..We’ll done you make us proud & full! XThank you Bloaters

The best fish & chips EVER! if you have to wait to be served its well worth it. Fantastic staff, I won't go anywhere else. Keep up the great work guys. X

Probably the best chip shop in England. We have never found better. The only problem is it is very popular and you may have to wait, but there is a car park just around the corner. (20p) or free dependinding on the time of day.

Brilliant! Was very busy and had to wait 15-20 minutes but totally worth it. Generous portion of chips and the fish was fresh and delicious. The batter was crunchy, tasty and not greasy. Best fish and chips I've had in years.

Have just eaten a delicious meal of fish and chips. Never seen such large pieces of cod. Batter was delicious. Lovely atmosphere as people waited for their orders. Cheers raised when number called!! Lovely meal for the last evening of our holiday!!

The best fish and chips for miles, so glad to have found this place as it'll now be our regular. The fish is by far the best I have found in East Devon and the chips are lovely too! Easy to grab on the way in to Sidmouth, then head towards the beach (much better than what the tourist traps offer)

Food was very good. The chips to be precise, nice fluffy and not too soft! Just right.Sauages were very tasty too. Highly recommend on those 2 factors.Staff were very nice, services was quick.Decent selection, your normal chip shop stuff, burgers, pies etc. Burgers looked good, might have them next time.Parking wasn't too bad, there was a residential area we parked, but there was a public car park right next door.
